Farhan amused over romance rumours
Farhan Akhtar is amused more than enraged on hearing rumors about his link up with his female assistant director.
Using Twitter as a tool, Farhan clarifies that there is nothing brewing between him and his AD.
He wrote: “Woke up this morning to some really creative fiction. Where do they get their inspiration for such imagination from I wondered…? (A source revealed)… it’s from their sad, lonely lives harboring on the outer fringes of human decency.”
What Salman, Farhan and Arshad have to say about Shiney Ahuja
The Mumbai court on Wednesday sentenced Shiney Ahuja after he was found guilty of raping his maid in 2009. The actor broke down when judge P.M. Chauhan of the Sewri fast track sessions court delivered the judgement. The verdict came despite the maid turning hostile during the trial.
“Seven years? Seven years is a lot! I have been locked up myself, so I know what happens,” said shocked Salman, who himself has had brief stints in jail.
“I hope he (Shiney) is innocent, and if anyone is trying to frame him, that person should come out in the open. Seven-year jail term is too long, especially if someone has lied about it,” added Salman.
Arsahd Warsi feels the judiciary should not target actors “blatantly”.
“Murderers, terrorist n corrupt politicians r walking free n Shiney Ahuja gets 7yrs…,” Arshad posted on his Twitter account.
“I am NOT saying he’s right but don’t forget that Kassab (sic) is still enjoying our hospitality. Do you know the no. of rapes that happen in our country on a daily basis by influential and connected ppl… Those cases r not even registered.
“My point is all criminals should be punished equally, it’s not fair to make an example of an actor only because it makes news,” added Arshad.
Producer-director Farhan Akhtar wishes that Shiney has the strength to face the court verdict.
“He has pleaded against the decision. If he can prove it wrong, he will come out. At the end of the day, we have a legal system in the country,” Farhan told reporters at a promotional event of his film “Game” at Novotel Hotel here Thursday.
“If you do something wrong, you have to go through punishment. I wish him all the strength. Hopefully, it would be proved that he is innocent,” he added.
Has Aamir Spotted Something That Salman Hasn’t?
It is a well known fact that when it comes to choosing the right script-no one in the industry can beat Aamir Khan. His track record is enough to justify this statement.
So, recently film maker Reema Katgi, the director of Honeymoon travels Pvt. Ltd. approached Salman with a script about paranormal activities. Salman felt that the story was way too complex and showed the least bit of interest in the idea and declined the script.
Guess what! Reema took the same script to Aamir who was quick to say a yes to the thriller. Looks like Salman was unable to spot something that Aamir very easily could. Just goes to show the difference between their success rates.
This untitled project is being produced by Farhan Akhtar who also produced Reema’s first film with his friend Ritesh Sidhwani.
I wanted to be like Big B: Farhan Akhtar
When Farhan Akhtar made Dil Chahta Hai, we all appreciated what a brilliant director for a debutante he is. When he made Lakshya we appreciated what a sensitive writer he is. With Don he had us in confidence that this director will give us surprises and the next surprise he gave us was R
ock On.
Never thought Farhan would be such a multi-talented guy… Looks like God put all the creativity and brains in this one guy – he is a writer, director, actor and a singer – a perfect all rounder plus he looks great too.
We never thought that Farhan who started out as a director would become an actor and take the nation by storm.
He says, “I have always liked films and wanted to do something in films. But, I somehow didn’t have the confidence to be an actor. I had more confidence in writing and directing. I was perhaps more drawn towards writing.”
He did although imitate Amitabh Bachchan like all actors in his childhood days, “Yes, of course I did. There’s no denying that. In fact, anyone who is attracted to films would do that. And for me, back in those times, Mr Amitabh.”
“Bachchan was ‘The Hero’. Everyone wanted to be like him and I was no different. In fact, I always imitated his dialogue, “James Bond Ke Pote Hain”, he added.
Way to go Farhan!
Farhan Akhtar: I always liked acting

Farhan Akhtar who is eagerly waiting for the response to his acting debut this Friday admitted that he always liked acting, singing and directing.
He says, “I was never averse to acting. I always liked acting, only that I never thought of giving it a serious try but I was always open to it. I was waiting for a right time because I don’t think I could do so many things at a time. I started as a director and wanted to focus on my work. I am doing this film because I liked the story and the role. That’s why when director Abhishek Kapoor came to me, I did not hesitate much.”
If only he could work on his dialogue delivery. I always laugh at his ‘compromise’ dialogue from Rock On’s teaser.
Farhan Akhtar planning Don sequel

Yes guys, singer-actor-director Farhan Akhtar is still very much a director at heart as he is planning to come out with sequel for Don after the smashing success of the remake.
When quizzed whether the rocker would sign SRK again for the lead role he said, “Yes, in spite of reports to the contrary, as far as Ritesh, Shah Rukh and I are concerned, he is Don. I have an attachment for certain actors working for certain characters — like Hrithik Roshan had to be Karan Shergill (Lakshya) and I had to have Saif Ali Khan as Sameer in Dil Chahta Hai. Anything else would be a compromise. So it has to be Shah Rukh Khan as Don; his personality suits the character. I have an absolute love for the character of Don which is difficult to describe. I love that here is a bad guy, a killer, who gets away with it and also gets the audience’s love. That character has to grow now and the story has to progress in the sequel.”
Well it would be great to see SRK back in the mean guy role.
Prachi All Set To Rock The Bollywood

Looks like we have another sexy woman in race…
Farhan Akhtar to debut in acting
He has directed three unique movies and is the most talked
about young director in the film industry and now he intends to carve his name as an actor! Farhan Akhtar is all set to debut on the celluloid screens with Anand Surapur’s Fakir. “Its very-very exciting. I had a wonderful time doing this film and it’s almost done,” says the director-turned-actor. The best thing about his first film as an actor was that he was working with a debutant director. While Akhtar was learning acting from his director, his director was learning nuances of direction from Akhtar. I wonder if it was the director’s strategy to learn from Akhtar that he took Akhtar in the movie. Anyway the audience will surely enjoy Akhtar on the celluloid screen.
