Katrina in Yet Another Yash Raj Flick

There’s no stopping Katrina Kaif nowadays. The London born ‘bony lass’ has been enjoying a rollicking Bollywood ride for the past four years now, and it looks like she is going to have it her way for some more years to come. She’s been bagging some juicy offers of late, and it seems like she is now Yash Raj Films’ most sought after lead lady.

Katrina’s first film under this prestigious production house was New York with John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh which fared well at the B.O and then it was this year’s Mere Brother ki Dulhan which is having a rather good time as far as the collections have to go by. Then, there is Ek Tha Tiger in the making follwed by Yash Chopra’s directorial with Shahrukh Khan which is going to hit the floors sometime in 2012.

If all this was not enough, Katrina has now bagged a role in the upcoming sequel of the prestigious Dhoom franchise, and will be paired opposite Aamir Khan who is going to play the bad guy after John Abraham’s and Hrithik’s stint in the previous two films.

Looks like there’s no stopping Kats!

Abhishek Bachchan requests for paternity leave….

Abhishek Bachchan requests for paternity leave….

One of the most awaited films, Dhoom 3, a Yash Raj Film, has been postponed. Well, the film that was supposed to go on floors in November will now be postponed to December.

The reason being Abhishek Bachchan. Well, the soon to be mommy, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is expected to deliver sometime around November and so Abhi has asked for some family time.

According to an insider, “Yash Raj had Abhishek’s dates from November onwards. But Aishwarya is due in November and Abhishek wants to spend some quality time with his baby and wife before getting back to work. Hence, he requested YRF to postpone the shoot for a month or two.”

The source adds, “Bachchans are family to Yash Chopra. He immediately agreed to give Abhishek some time off. He asked the makers of Dhoom 3 to begin shooting the film only after Abhishek is ready.

Abhishek in turn has agreed to start shooting mid-December. Now depending on the availability of the locations and technicians, Dhoom 3 will go on floors in December this year or January next year.”

“Aishwarya is an integral part of the Dhoom franchise. Her contribution in Dhoom 2 cannot be forgotten. Yash Chopra is well aware of that. That is one more reason why Abhishek’s request was respected,” adds the source.

However, according to the YRF spokesperson, “Well, our schedule of Dhoom 3 has still not been finalised. So, it’s a little premature to be discussing a postponement. And yes, most certainly we will keep in mind the arrival of joy in the Bachchan household while planning Abhishek’s schedule.”

Speaking about Aamir Khan’s dates, the source reveals, “Well, Aamir comes in only around April or May next year. As of now, he is busy preparing his character which is that of a gymnast.”

Fight Master Alllan Amin who directed the stunt scenes is all excited about the nomination. “I am very proud of the fact that we have won a nomination. It’s a first,” says Amin. Remember Hrithik and Ash’s scene where they jump from the cliff, with actors volunteering for the scene the directed had no qualms about shooting the scene. And it was mind blowing! The makers had also roped in Australian stunt master Vic Armstrong to execute some of the stunts. The Hollywood stunt coordinator is all praise for Hrithik Roshan: “Hrithik is one of the fittest actors I have seen recently and those efforts made the stuff on Dhoom 2 look exceptionally good”. Aditya change plans for Dhoom 3

Aditya has been constantly changing decisions on the cast and the crew of his upcoming trilogy (if it can be called so) Dhoom 3. But one thing was fixed that after Sanjay Gadhvi deciding to part ways with Yash Raj Films, Aditya himself will be directing the movie but now even that remains under thought. Aditya is now thinking of giving the project toUntitled-1.jpg Scriptwriter Vikram Krishna Acharya. Dhoom 3 will be Vikram’s directorial debut.

Acharya wrote the screenplay and dialogue of both Dhoom versions and the dialogue for Pyaar Ke Side Effects and Guru, and is writing the script for Dhoom 3 as well. Chopra plans to start filming towards the second half of the year, around the time that Gadhvi starts filming his first movie outside Yashraj, for Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision. That’s not all… And he has planned a casting coup with Shah Rukh Khan (in a negative role) and Aamir Khan hot on his heels as the policeman. What’s more, Hrithik Roshan will also be a part of the project, insists the source, although he may not have a fullfledged role. “Adi wants to make it a multi-starrer. It all depends on how the script shapes up but he’s definitely keen on pairing both the Khans together for the first time and also Hrithik Roshan,” says the source. Lagta hai ladai badi dhoom se hone wali hai!!!

Rani might replace Bipasha Basu in Dhoom III

Well Apart from Ash and Uday everyone else is being replacedrani.jpg in Dhoom III! Aditya Chopra will replace Director Sanjay, Saif Ali Khan will replace Abhishek, Hrithik by the King Khan and the latest is that Rani Mukherjee will replace Bipasha Basu. Person in question who took this decision, Aditya Chopra of course! So there will be no more Shonali, the cop or Monali, the dreamer and to be truthful there will be no oomph in the movie then! Ash, though she looks fit, has to try hard to sizzle the screen whereas Bips could do it so easily. And Rani I don’t think will look sexier than Bips in a bikini! So altogether no scope for boys to check out Dhoom III but but but …Girls can of course wait for the Khans to do the magic.

Dhoom III on cards

Dhoom III is on cards but this time its not Sanjay who willAditya.jpg direct this movie but Aditya Chopra. Yes the ace director will be back on the hot seat after six years. His last film was Mohabbatein. And guess what who is in- The King Khan Shahrukh will play the negative role in Dhoom III- and that, I think will be a hit role as for SRK’s immense affinity for being a hero in a negative role. But I wonder what Saif is going to do in the movie- will he be a threat to Abhishek? But believe me it will be a tragedy to break Abhishek and Uday’s chemistry. Amir is no more on the cards and Ash as predicted will be there in the third film too.
