Ranbir Kapoor’s mom Neetu Singh is not sure about his girl Deepika Padukone becoming her daughter-in-law. Initially we saw her going gaga over this tall beauty and now suddenly she has become quite critical about their affair.

A source quoted her saying, “Deepika is just another girlfriend in Ranbir’s life.” When asked to clarify the reason of her doubts, she explained, “Both of them are very young. It’s a long way to go before marriage. No one knows what future holds for them.”

“In many occasions, Neetu spotted with Deepika. They made their first public appearance during the Lakme fashion week and caught the eyes of all.  It was also reported that Deepika is the choice of Ranbir’s parents and they even accepted her as their bahu. But now with so many differences in Ranbir and Deepika’s life, their future of being one seems swinging. Not only their parents but Ranbir and Deepika themselves are uncertain about what future has stored for them,” the source added.

Does that suggest there is trouble in paradise?

Deepika Padukone is a star in just three movies and she is raring to go higher than that. She is on cloud nine yet she has her feet placed firmly on the ground. She hasn’t lost it at the top.

“Both me and my sister have been taught to be self dependent. I am 23 and very proud of it. I’m young and raring to go.

Age has nothing to do with maturity. I started traveling alone at a very young age (12) as a badminton player. That made feel responsible from a very young age. I learnt to travel in a team share dormitories and bathrooms.

You could say I’ve roughed it out. My parents made sure my sister and I were brought up with normal working class values.”

She says she is not a party animal.

“I’ve never been the partying type. I’m not much into celebrations ever since I moved to Mumbai to become an actress. I don’t have any friends to call over.

Earlier when I was in Bangalore I used to call all my friends over for my birthday over and then take them bowling or to watch a movie…”

She trails off. “Now all my free days are spent with my family. My entire family comes down from Bangalore to Mumbai for my birthday every year. It becomes a family reunion time. The came to visit me around my birthday. My Dad, mom and sister were here. We also paid a visit to Tirupathi for my birthday this year.”

Deepika Padukone has got a lot of fame in a very short span of time. She created waves in the fashion world first where she hit the ramp and finally when she made a debut with Farha Khan’s Om Shanti Om, we know that this girl really has the X-factor.

She is smart, she is beautiful and she is sexy, plus she acts quite well. We are impressed but what does it take to impress this beautiful girl.

She says, “Honesty, good natured, helpfulness and a nice sense of humour are the ‘must haves’…‘Good looks’ is obviously there in my list, but it does not figure that high in the pecking order.”

And guess what is Deepika’s idea of an ideal romantic escapade, “We would go to Rishikesh for some serious mountaineering and river rafting. I love adventure sports.”

The lass has some serious mind between those ears and she definitely cannot be taken for granted. She makes clear that she is not the sort who can change the way she is for a guy.

“If he likes me, he will have to accept me as I am. So definitely, he would have no right to dictate to me.”

Guess Ranbir is a well balanced mix of everything nice.

Shahrukh Khan is determined to make his Temptations Reloaded 2008 tour bigger than the Bachchan’s Unforgettable World Tour and so he has managed to get in a lot of big names on to his team list.

He has now roped Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Bipasha Basu to join his Temptations Reloaded Team with Katrina Kaif, Anusha Dandekar and Arjun Rampal.

Cineyug’s Mohammed Morani (scriptwriter and director of the shows) confirmed and said, “Yes, we have signed Deepika and Bipasha for Temptation Reloaded. But, I haven’t worked out their dance moves yet. And we are in advanced talks with Kareena. She may join us for the shows in Dubai.”

A source said, “SRK has fans all over the world. It’s great that Deepika and Bipasha have joined the tour too. If Kareena comes on board, which is quite possible, it doesn’t get bigger than this.”
I somehow think, there are too many ladies on the board, SRK should have included good male performers who people really enjoy watching… It would’ve been bigger than this if someone like Hrithik joined him.

Leading ladies of Bachna Ae Haseeno, Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone who were having a cold war have apparently cleared all the bad rumors and gossip about them in a recently held press conference (apparently on Ranbir’s suggestion).

The two were so eager to prove the rumors wrong that they ended up kissing and hugging each other.

Apparently the ladies first hugged each other, which caused mayhem amongst the paparazzi, and then they kissed and then Deepika exclaimed, “Now that we’ve kissed we hope the press stops making us look like enemies.”

Well that’s what we call kiss and make-up for the shutterbugs.

Well yes guys, the beauty in the picture above is Deepika Padukone from her movie Chandni Chowk to China where she would be seen in a new Chinese avatar.

The film has been shot exclusively in China, as the name suggests is a story from Chandni Chowk to China. Hollywood movie bosses are sponsoring the film. Akshay Kumar is working with Deepika Padukone for the first time in Chandni Chowk to China. The movie has lot of action sequences with loads of Karate thrown in.

The film is a complete kids movie, according to the director Nikhil Advani,“Chandni Chowk to China is a children’s film. I don’t think kids will try to attempt to climb the nearest wall to fight after watching the film. But I think we’ll have lots of kids joining karate classes.”

So guys do you like Deepika’s hot Chinese avatar?

Hot beauties of Bachna ae Haseeno, Deepika Padukone and Bipasha Basu are not on talking terms after a spat between both of them on a reality show where they were promoting their movie. Apparently the show bosses asked Deepika and Ranbir, the real life couple to open the show, which made Bipasha turn red with fury, as she wanted to accompany Ranbir instead of Deepika.

An insider revealed, “Bips and Deepika didn’t interact at all in the star plus show that they both attended. Deepika only spoke to Ranbir and Minissha. Also the hosts only kept calling Ranbir and Deepika on the stage which also infuriated Bips”

On the other hand Deepika has become a great buddy of other co-star Minissha Lamba and enjoys her company much to the annoyance of Bipasha Basu.

An audience member on a reality show says, “Minissha Lamba and Deepika are buddies. It was good to see Minissha urge Deepika to give her best smile for the camera and later Deepika too ensured that Minissha did not feel left out while she and Ranbir made a star couple on the show. It was equally heart-warming to see Ranbir making sure that he bestowed the same amount of attention to Minissha and Deepika. Even when Salman asked him what it was like to work with Deepika he replied, “I enjoyed working with Minissha and Deepika equally”

According to rumors it is Bipasha who finally get Ranbir in Bachna Ae Haseeno. Well this might be reason I guess for Deepika’s rivalry with Bipasha.

Bollywood’s new hottie, Ranbir Kapoor when quizzed  who does he find sexy, and he immediately blurted Bipasha Basu even though his girlfriend Deepika Padukone has topped Maxim’s hot sexy list.

When he was asked who was better actress amongst the three beauties he has worked with for his upcoming movie and pat came the reply, “Bipasha Basu is a senior and she has got more experience. So I don’t think it’s fair to compare the three as actors.”

When the actor was asked to describe his lady love, he said,  “She’s beautiful, talented and hardworking. So are Bipasha and Minisha. All three of them are all these adjectives put together and more.”

The Maxim Hot list ventures into India for the first time, and Deepika Padukone is the first winner of the Indian first edition.

Deepika said at a press conference, “To be honest, personally I never thought of myself as ’sexy’ or ‘hot’ but if that’s the call that people have taken, then I hope I live up to it. I am so excited about this.”

Anup Kutty, editor of Maxim-India said, “Deepika was our choice as the winner because apart from her huge fan following with the new generation of Indians, she also has the potential to be an international face. This calls for a huge party.”

Deepika Padukone joins the string of Bollywood beauties like Bipasha Basu, Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif who have made their way into the list.
