This is how ‘teri Meri Kahaani’ happened.
They say, a lot can happen over a cup of coffee. well, this states true atleast for Shahid Kapoor and the Teri Meri Kahaani gang.
The actor says it was over a cup of coffee that actually made Teri Meri Kahaani happen.
“One day over coffee Kunal Kohli said that he had an idea which he really loved but it was not developed. It was just a one line story. He told me it would be an entertaining love story with the same two actors in three different time periods,” Shahid Kapoor said in a statement.
Shahid says initially it was a little hard to understand the time concept in the script.
“I told Kunal that I didn’t understand (the time concept) and asked him to explain it to me. He then explained…”
The film stars Priyanka Chopra, alongside Shahid Kapoor. The film will hit the theatres June 22.

Ever since Aamir Khan’s “Satyamev Jayate” hit national television, it has been making waves through out the nation. Praises are being showered on the actor from north to south and east to west.
Bollywood veteran Dilip Kumar has also appreciated Aamir Khan for his initiative. “Satyamev Jayate” is a television show that raises issues of national concern, thus making the public sensitive towards such issues.
“Dear Aamir, you deserve all the compliments you are getting for the TV show. Brilliant. We are proud of you @aamir_khan,” Dilip Kumar posted on Twitter.
The 89-year-old, talking about his ill health, said he is doing better now.
“By the grace of god, my health is good. I am doing well. Thank you,” he added.
Humse Pyar Karle Tu from “Teri Meri Kahaani *
Presenting you with the latest track from ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ is ‘Humse Pyar Kar Le Tu’ which has Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra teasing each other.
The song is set in Lahore in the year 1910, where Javed (Shahid Kapoor), a young poet, tries to woo Rukhsar (Priyanka Chopra), with his trademark romantic couplet. This is then followed with a song.
Music composed by Sajid Wajid, the song ‘Humse Pyar Kar Le Tu’ is sung by Mika and Shreya Ghoshal.
Teri Meri Kahaani is directed by Kunal Kohli. The film is slated to release in June this year.
Emraan Hashmi delivers hits only!
Ever since he stepped into the film industry, Emraan Hashmi has seen only success. The actor has been giving hits film after film. However, the actor doesn’t seem to be satisfied with the films he is currently doing and says he wants to do something more riskier.
“I have never really wanted to sort myself and other actors by that list. I have always done films that I believed in and yes it is very important for box office collections to do well. I have never really wanted to belong,” the 33-year-old said.
After delivering hits like Murder 2 and The Dirty Picture, the actor gets another hit with Jannat 2.
“I’d rather not belong to a particular list and just do films I probably did four years back. I don’t want to get safer with the success of ‘Jannat 2′. I want to do riskier films and make them a success,” he added.
To Emraan, its the mass that matter and not the class.
“I hold the verdict of the people who watch films cinematically in single screens very close to my heart. I go to single screens to watch the reaction of the people. For me that is a big reward. I have always wanted to be a strong mass actor,” said Emraan Hashmi.
Emraan will next be seen in Dibakar Banerjee’s Shanghai.

New York Indian Film Festival to have Kareena walk the red carpet!
At the 12th New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF), Kareena Kapoor is will walk the red carpet . The event will be held in Lower Manhattan from May 23 to May 27.
Alongside Kareena Kapoor, will walk filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar too. Other celebrities to join them are Anurag Kashyap, Rituparno Ghosh, Salman Rushdie and Mira Nair.
The screening of Dev Anand’s film “Hum Dono Rangeen”, a colored version of his black-and-white classic “Hum Dono”, will also be a part of the event as a tribute to him.
The world premiere of Ghosh’s “Chitrangada” as well as the US premiere of both parts of Kashyap’s “Gangs of Wasseypur”, will be hosted by NYIFF. These films are also lined up to be screened at the 65th Cannes International Film Festival.
Other films like Shyam Benegal’s “Zubeida”, “Mammo” and “Sardari Begum”, Pakistani-Canadian journalist and filmmaker Obaid Chinoy’s Oscar-winning documentary “Saving Face” etc will also be screened at the event.

Jannat 2 at the Box Office!
Emraan Hashmi newest film Jannat 2 is doing very well at the box office and has already started making profits in the opening weekend itself.
On Friday, Jannat 2 saw a superb opening. The music of the film and its promotion did the magic. The movie was made at a cost of Rs 16-17 crore and its weekend collection was Rs 23 crore, in India
alone.
Yet another hit for Emraan Hashmi.
