Aishwarya recently said that getting married to Abhishek is the best memory of her life.

Talking about her marriage, she said, “Life has been wonderful till now. It is not actually possible to pick one sweetest memory.

I thank God immensely for the number of experiences that I have had through my career. Like this year, I was privileged to get the Padmashree. I feel I am blessed. However, I have to say that my marriage is my sweetest memory.”

Aishwarya is currently filming Mani Ratnam’s Raavan and Vipul Shah’s Action Replay.

Katrina Kaif’s barbie doll has come to India and will be launched on Barbie’s 50th year.Katrina walked the ramp as a Barbie for a special Barbie show as the Lakme Fashion Week held few months back.

Katrina talking about her doll says, “I’ve been a part of the entire process of doll making and it’s been quite fascinating. Since, I’ve been travelling out of Mumbai for the promotions of my movies; unfortunately I’ve not been able to see it yet. I’m really looking forward to see the doll as soon as I get back.”

Katrina’s Barbie is a commemorative item and will not be available for sale.

Shilpa Shetty got engaged to her long time boyfriend, a businessman from London yesterday.Shilpa wore a stunning Manish Malhotra saree and uncut diamond jewellery designed by anmol Jewelery.

Like many famous US and UK celebrities, Shilpa was offered a deal by UK’s Hello mag for the coverage of her wedding ceremonies for 75,000 pounds. But Shilpa has said no to the deal.

A friend of Shilpa says, “It’s the first time than an Indian actress has been offered so much money for coverage of an event. This is more than what Aishwarya Rai was offered for her wedding. Shilpa is a big celebrity in the UK (thanks to her winning the reality show Big Brother) and Raj Kundra too is a well-known industrialist, so they were keen to cover this wedding.”

The friend adds,”One of the clauses in the contract offered by the international magazine was that no other photographers would be allowed at the event. Also they didn’t want any of the guests to carry their cell phones in case someone leaked the pictures to other media. And Shilpa wasn’t comfortable with both these conditions.” At the Elizabeth Hurley wedding, guests were frisked and their cell phones were taken away by the representatives of the magazine, and Shilpa didn’t want her guests to face a similar situation. Also, she is not looking to make money on this wedding. It is a sacred and a beautiful occasion for her, and she doesn’t want any bad energy around.”

Aishwarya Rai at a recent watch promotion event revealed that she was the original choice for Barbie makers and not Katrina Kaif.

During the press conference when Aishwarya was asked by the media, how she felt about Katrina’s Barbies hitting the market in first week of December, Aishwarya immediately replied that she was the original choice for Barbie.

Aishwarya said,”I was asked by that brand (Barbie), not just now but, I think, since Miss World, then at the turn of millennium, then when my films were raging success after Canes and this year was the fourth time actually that I was requested by Barbie to walk the ramp on a particular day.”

“But I was a committed professional working with Vipul Shah and he needed my date on that day so I was unable to accept that offer to walk the ramp that particular day for them.”

Aishwarya Rai revealed that she did not regret not becoming a Barbie girl and wished Katrina Kaif good luck for her Barbies.
