Bipasha Basu, who still seems to ride high on her success with Race, is all set to renew her place. The girl feels that the place had missed the required attention from her while it was being constructed which has left her feeling that there are many areas she would want to reconstruct.

“I love the space that I live in and wouldn’t want to leave it for anything in the world. I agree there’s nothing wrong with my home as it is. But when it was being constructed, I couldn’t give it the time and attention I should have. I missed the specifications that I had in mind, but never got around to implementing. I need to modify my space to suit my energy,” says the sultry actress to media.

Now, to match this lady’s energy wouldn’t be that easy!!!

Salman Khan surprised one and all with his pony-tailed look at the music launch party of Pahlaj Nihalani’s new flick, Khusboo-The fragnace of Love.

Apparently Salman is growing his tresses (or implanting them) for his look in his upcoming movie Tarzan.

The handsome hunk was looking chic in a suit and gelled pony tailed hair and surprisely arrived exactly on time at the launch party.

This week’s Friday release Black and White gives us info about quite a few bombs, – how to tame a suicide bomber and how to sit through a movie, which will eventually bomb at the box office. Its time to relieve Subhash Ghai of the “Showman” tag and award him with a ” No Show ” tag. And its high time for him to step down from the director’s seat, after giving a hat trick of bombs- Yaadein, Kisna and now Black & White (which can instill suicidal tendencies amongst audiences for sitting through them) and just stick to being a producer.

There is nothing white about this movie as everything is black except for the performances by Anil Kapoor, Anurag Sinha and Shefali Shah. Couple of years back we saw Amir Khan-the terrorist disguised as a flirty guide, but being a perfectionist he made it look real. Now come back to B & W guys, we have our Anurag Sinha as Numair Qazi- Fidayeen from an Afghan terror camp, a hardcore terrorist with a heart of stone, comes to Delhi on a mission. A mission to blow up the Red Fort on August 15- Hah! As if it was possible for this guy to do it single handedly, and I guess there is something called security too, Mr. Ghai thinks we are dumb enough to take it??

But then our quiet and grim terrorist must have seen the famous movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum, because he heads straight to Chandni Chowk, saare Delhi mein Chowk hi mila tha?? Our stone cold terrorist is given aasra by a wise poet (Habib Tanvir) in Chandni Chowk, our Afghani hunk does his homework well and passes himself as a victim of Gujarat riots justifying his hatred towards disbelievers. Neighbors to our poet are Rajan Mathur ( Anil Kapoor ), an Urdu professor at Delhi university and his red-hot-chili-pepper social activist wife ( Shefali Shah-she is superb). Now our Professor Rajan is a believer of secularism, and makes no stone unturned to bring peace amongst Hindus and Muslims of Chandni Chowk, so he is a part time peacemaker.

The story moves forward, as our suicide bomber bumps into our peacemaker couple, who welcome him into their own family, loving, caring and giving happiness to him (which he never got back home), as they would have given to their own son. Now this results in conflicts in Numair’s mind, and we are left to wonder which part of the mind he will eventually listen to. Great and sensitive story we can say, but it fails miserably to keep the audience gripped to their seats- Chalo yaar jaldi suicide bombing kario, I cant sit through this crap, is what the audience starts to think.

Naah! Numair is not the real suicide bomber of the movie it’s the screenplay. Mr Ghai ruins the climax of the movie, making it unreal and unconvincing, even a child with a lollipop in his mouth will laugh at it. The only way to understand the ending is to rip off the main plug of your brain or you can become Paris Hilton, only if you really want to.

Anurag Sinha, does a good job as a debutant, with few dialogues to mouth, he manages to express through his eyes and body. Anil Kapoor acts convincing and composed. Shefali Shah is as usual great. Aditi Sharma-huh does she deserve a mention, I wonder how did she won that superstar reality show. Habib Tanvir has a great screen presence. The background score of the movie is good,and the songs are bad. Surely Mr Ghai deserves a pat on his back, for venturing into this dangerous territory, the thought and possibility that terrorists can be reformed makes the viewer bound to think about it.

But the whole package is a real disappointment, with nothing exciting and gripping. The bad movie at the end of the day overshadows the brilliant performances by the cast. We can say Black and White is a suicide bomber at the Box Office.

Verdict: Can be watched once, but beware- watch at your own risk!

Handsome hunk Shahid Kapoor who was a teetotaler and non-smoker, had taken up heavy smoking in order to come out of the depression caused by his break up with sexy Kareena Kapoor. Gosh! Shahid you must have realized by now that Kareena doesn’t deserve your love, so why to get into depression. Just dump that girl out of your mind!!!

A close friend of Shahid revealed, “Shahid was a complete teetotaler, but he started smoking on the sets of Kismet Connection in Canada after his break-up with Kareena. He was often stressed out and we didn’t realize what was wrong with him. Suddenly, we saw him smoking heavily during the shoots. We thought it was work-related stress, but we were worried when we saw that he had become a chain smoker.”

Friends bugged him alot and advised him against becoming a chain smoker as it would ruin his health, and thankfully Shahid has realized his folly. As said by the close source, “Shahid realized that a lot had changed in his personal and professional life. Kareena has moved on and so has he. He has accepted things and is happier after Jab We Met was hugely appreciated. He doesn’t need cigarettes anymore!”

Shahid’s personal trainer and close friend Abbas Ali also confirmed the news, “Shahid is training very hard these days. But a few days back there was something amiss; he was not achieving the desired results. When he asked me what was wrong, I told him that his smoking was causing him much harm. Thank goodness, he kicked off the habit and has stuck to it.”

Shahid had taken up smoking on the sets of Kismet Connection and now has given up the habit prior to its release.

Yeh hui na kismat ki baat!

The 53rd Fair One Filmfare Awards night was a shimmering night with almost all prominent celebrities of Bollywood gracing the occasion. But the most surprising element of the night was not SRK and Saif with their Na-real Awards gig, but it was the absence of Bachchan family at the event, who have been regular in gracing the event every year. Flying Rumors convey that it was because of Shahrukh Khan that Bachchan family decided to give the event a miss. Last year SRK had made some rude but unintentional comments on Amar Singh (remember he joked that he could see “Darindagi” in Amar Singh’s eyes) and that was the main reason they boycotted Filmfare this year. But sources close to Bachchans claim that they missed the starry night because of recent events in their personal lives. Amitabh Bachchan’s mother Teji Bachchan expired a few month back and close associate Amar Singh’s father also passed away recently. And Bachchans are very grief stricken right now to celebrate anything.

Well Filmfare night with all that glitter and pomp still looked less starry without our Big B and his clan, Hai na?
