Athletic beauty Bipasha Basu who has a very good skin and a fit body has recently revealed her beauty secrets. She says,

“I am a kind of person who is completely into workouts. I believe in being healthy and it’s not about just looking good. I always feel that being healthy is the key reason for me. That’s the reason I am so much into fitness”, Says Bipasha.

Bipasha reveals her health and beauty regime. “I drink 10 glasses of water a day. Apply sunscreen with a high SPF every time I step out in the sun. Eat small meals, around six times a day at regular intervals. Involve the proper food items in my diet judiciously which are highly nutritious. Exercising 4 times a week at minimum for an hour a day and minimum 7-8 hours of sleep a day definitely makes one look fit and beautiful.” she signs off.

Indeed!

Bipasha Basu suffered for three long hours when she a tiny piece of gravel went right inside her ear.

She confirms saying, “We were doing a heavy duty action scene when this gravel went right inside my ear. I had to be taken to Leelavati hospital, where it had to be sucked out.”
“It wasn’t on the surface. It went right in and I couldn’t move because there was the danger that it would go in deeper and pierce the eardrums. First I tried to shake it out. Then when that didn’t work I decided to let a doctor do the needful,” she added.

“The producer and director tried everything. We finally headed towards Leelavati. It was John (Abraham) who got an old ENT specialist friend of his to check me out. The sweet doctor was at another hospital but drove down to Leelavati. At 4.30 p m, he finally put me out of my misery,” Bipasha said.

“Who would think such a thing would happen? Normally during an action scene you protect your knees, head etc. But ear? It went straight in with a thud.

“I wasn’t moving, I was so petrified the gravel would go deeper into my ear. My parents were petrified. The minute the doctor said it could be taken out I was okay. It was the most bizarre thing that ever happened to me,” the she said.

We hope she is okay now!

Gone are the days of the fair skinned and light eyed Poonam Dhillon played a Kashmiri girl. Now Bengali siren Bipasha Basu is all set to break this existing stereotype.

“When you think of a Kashmiri girl in our movies, what comes to mind is a fair-skinned, light-eyed girl. But I want to disprove that myth. The pre-conceived notions have to be overcome,” Bipasha told IANS.

Infact she has even asked her producers to invite a born-and-bred Kashmiri girl to Mumbai so that she can study her body language, speech patterns and mannerisms, for her role.

“I’ve never done a film like this before. The role requires me to be someone else altogether. I’ve to change my entire personality. And for this I needed help. I wanted to play the character the way girls really are today in Kashmir. Very basic.

“I’ve done a bit role in another authentic film – Prakash Jha’s ‘Apaharan’. For that matter, Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Corporate’ was very real and so is Rituparno Ghosh’s ‘Sab Charitra Kalpanik’. But ‘Lamha’ is something else.”

“I think I’m going to be more keen on getting it right than the director. Going to Kashmir and getting to know the local way of life was difficult. All said and done it’s still not entirely safe in Kashmir.

Indeed… this is where she can compromise on her professionalism!

Bipasha Basu has been voted to most Sexiest Asian and she is definitely elated. However some journalist had taunted her for taking that tag too seriously and she responded saying,

Yes and I’m proud of it. I read a journalist taunting me about how serious I tried to sound about being chosen the sexiest woman in Asia. I’d just like see how she’d react if she got the same title. I’m sure any man or woman would be flattered being called the sexiest. I don’t see why I’ve to justify myself for being happy about being called sexy. I feel elated about it. You can’t take it away.

And on being asked how does she define ’sexy’.

It’s defined differently from person to person. Those who know me know I’m a very down-to-earth girl with no pretensions to being a diva. For me being sexy is an amalgamation of many factors. Definitely a good physique and a Perfect-10 for health. A good face helps. But confidence, poise and intelligence are musts. Just a body won’t do.

Well, that way, Bipasha is definitely very very Sexy!

Bipasha Basu has proved all her critics wrong as she shared sparkling chemistry with new hottie Ranbir Kapoor. However the leggy lass definitely was surprised with her performance, which overshadowed her other co-stars.

She says, “I really did not know what the response to my part would be, but yes the appreciation has come as a lovely surprise. I did the role because the film was a cute romantic and I could relate to my character Radhika.”

“It’s sad that women get tagged as old when they are in their late 20s! People actually made me feel as old as Mr Bachchan. But it’s a good sign that audiences have liked the chemistry between Ranbir and me, which has put an end to all speculations.”

Leading ladies of Bachna Ae Haseeno, Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone who were having a cold war have apparently cleared all the bad rumors and gossip about them in a recently held press conference (apparently on Ranbir’s suggestion).

The two were so eager to prove the rumors wrong that they ended up kissing and hugging each other.

Apparently the ladies first hugged each other, which caused mayhem amongst the paparazzi, and then they kissed and then Deepika exclaimed, “Now that we’ve kissed we hope the press stops making us look like enemies.”

Well that’s what we call kiss and make-up for the shutterbugs.

Bipasha Basu is doing great in her career, she had quite a lot of good roles from good banners flowing in but she still maintains that the industry is still extremely male-dominated and that she can only dream to have a long innings like Shahrukh, Aamir and Salman who are still going great at the age of 40.

She thinks the only actress who could beat them in their own game is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She says, The only actress in Bollywood who has been able to beat this system is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. You can call it her luck or just being at the right place at the right time, but the fact is that she has achieved this feat. In fact her fame goes beyond Bollywood as she is the only one who is recognised in Hollywood. This is something, which can’t be said for even SRK or Big B.”

Well, Ash would be more than happy with that statement. Atleast someone in the industry appreciates her apart from her own family.

Bipasha Basu who is known for her bonding and controversies with sportstars got to make friends with handsome cricketer Yuvraj Singh during the adshoot of Reebok, which is endorsed by both the hotties.

Bipasha has already met Yuvraj at many parties but the two gave a start to their friendship only recently at a photoshoot.

An onlooker at the photoshoot revealed.“Yuvi was initially very reserved. He was not interactive at all. Now this is very unlike him because Yuvi has always been a friendly guy. But I guess it was the initial apprehensions that made him hold back.”

So it was our bold babe Bipasha who made an effort to break the ice, “Yuvi is a good boy. If not a sportsman, he’d have certainly been an actor. He is a bundle of energy. Initially, he was a bit reserved but he came around soon. Working with him was a pleasure.”

Apparently both of them hit instantly and chatted all the time.

Bachchna Ae Haseeno star, Ranbir Kapoor was recently spotted at a party with an actress, who is despised by his love Deepika Padukone. Yes!! people we are talking about Bipasha Basu.

Both Bipasha Basu and Ranbir Kapoor attended Saif Ali Khan’s birthday party thrown by Kareena Kapoor without their actual partners, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone.

A onlooker at the party says, “We were pleasantly surprised when they came together for the party.”

Well is this another promotional tactic for their BAH movie or are they trying to become Demi Moore-Ashton Kutcher of Bollywood?

Sultry siren, Bipasha Basu is furious that everybody is referring to her as the senior actor in Bachna Ae Haseeno which has started to make her feel as Amitabh Bachchan.

She says, “People have been calling me the senior most actor in the film. I almost feel like Amitabh Bachchan now. The others in the film are extremely good actors and not at all inexperienced.”

“They have a lot of experience and have absolute clarity in their mind on what they want to do. They are very spontaneous and we even get together very well in that way.”

Bipasha’s co-stars in the movie are youngsters Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Minissha Lamba.

Well maybe Bipasha should try working with oldies so that she can be called the junior most actress on the set.;)
