We bring to you the first trailer of ‘Housefull 2’.
In the promo, Akshay Kumar is paired up with Asin, John with Jacqueline Fernandez, Shreyas Talpade with Shazahn Padamsee and Ritesh Deshmukh with Zarine Khan.
While Akki is a khurrat guy, John Abraha is a handsome chor. Shreyas is a ghar jamaai and Ritesh is just not into marriage.
Housefull 2 also sees the veterans Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty and Boman Irani as the four sasurs.
The trailer surely is rib tickling, filled with comedy and confusion.
Directed by Sajid Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Housefull 2 releases on 5 April.
Asin-Neil split!!!
Asin Thottumkal who was seeing Neil Nitin Mukesh, broke up recently, through a text message that simply said: “It’s over”.
Ever since that message, the two actors haven’t been on talking terms.
A source reveals, “In any case, they never made their relationship public. Asin had made it very clear that Neil shouldn’t ever talk about them to the press or otherwise.
Strangely the two are poles apart — she’s controlling and fiercely ambitious, he’s fun-loving and easy going. Like every other couple, they too had fights; teething problems, if you please. But the real trouble began when Asin started getting close to Salman Khan.”
If buzz is to be believed, Neil did not appreciate Asin attending Salman Khan’s house parties. On confronting
Asin, she told him to back off. “She was bonding with everyone from John (Abraham) to Akshay (Kumar). Even though all this was for work and to sign big films, Neil felt he was getting sidelined.
He raised the issue often but she refused to address it. Soon, Asin just stopped answering his calls.
“His phone calls and messages went unanswered for days. Her ‘it’s over’ text was the final nail in the coffin. The two have gone their separate ways since.”
Asin tags Salman as spontaneous, while, Aamir needs preparations…
Ready’s leading actress, Asin Thottumkal talks her heart out, comparing the perfectionist Aamir Khan with Bollywood’s heartthrob Salman Khan. According to her, Aamir prepares for his roles while Sallu is simply spontaneous.
“Salman is spontaneous. You have to be very alert while the camera is running because you don’t know what he will come up with and what you will have to do as an appropriate thing. There is not much of a discussion before the shot. So you have to be ready with whatever he throws at you during the shot,” Asin told.
“Whereas Aamir is somebody who will sit with you and the director before the camera starts rolling. He discusses with you various ways of doing it (scenes) and finally decides on one. So here you are sure of what is going to happen in front of the camera,” added the 25-year-old.
Asin also admits that she has never seen the bad side of Salman so far.
“I have never personally experienced anything wrong with Salman. Whatever I’ve come across is that he is somebody who is really pure from his heart, so whatever emotions come out, it’s just that,” said Asin who has now worked with Salman in two films – “London Dreams” and forthcoming release “Ready”.
“He is direct and straight. He doesn’t put on a face for different groups of people. When he is angry, he’ll show that and when he is not, he’ll show that too. So basically, I have not seen that very notorious side of Salman that the media keeps talking about,” she added.
Talking about “Ready”, which is releasing today, June 3, Asin said: “We started working on ‘Ready’ right after ‘London Dreams’; so it’s like back-to-back movies with Salman. The interaction I had with him during ‘London Dreams’ kind of helped me to have a comfortable relationship in ‘Ready’ because a rapport was already created.”
“I think even he is quite comfortable working with me because somewhere I get his sense of humour. He has a very straight-faced sense of humour, so we pretty much gel well with each other on the sets,” she added.
Asin and Salman’s chemistry in the film promos look so strong and real that, people have started seeing them as a couple
“Everyone knows that the rumours had no truth in them. These rumours started during ‘London Dreams’. However, I want to maintain that I am quite single and not in a relationship and that’s why I think rumours like these get accentuated more,” explained the actress, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Aamir Khan in superhit film “Ghajini”.
Asin is still falling short of offers!!!
After giving two of the biggest hits (Ghajini and Ready) in Bollywood, we probably expected Asin Thottumkal to be in every directors wishlist. But what’s shocking is that currently, the actress has only one project in hand and that is Housefull 2. Zarine Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez have already been cast as the other two leading ladies, which means Asin will have to share her screen space with them.
Says a trade source, “She has just one film, Housefull 2, in which she will share screen space with Jacqueline Fernandez and Zarine Khan.”
If the buzz is to be believed, Asin is quoting the same price as the likes of Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. This is the main reason why most directors are refusing to cast her in films.
Rumors also have it that the Kollywood producers and directors are unhappy about the fact that she ignored them when she started receiving offers from Bollywood.
Is it that Asin’s attitude is killing her???

‘Ready’ is a SUPERHIT!!!
Salman Khan’s latest film Ready is emerging as a superhit at the Bollywood box office.
Having taken bumper opening weekend collections, Ready has continued to maintain its good run throughout its first week and is soaring high in the second week too, with no dip in the collections. It collected Rs. 4.5 crores on Friday, Rs. 5.9 crores on Saturday and the collections shot up to Rs 9.05 crores on Sunday. The total second-weekend collection amounts to more than Rs 19 crores. Adding up the first and second weeks collection, the film has made close to 90 crores and so far, it is the biggest Bollywood hit of 2011.
It is expected to cross the Rs. 100 crore mark by the end of this week.
Ready’s performance at the Box Office….
Salman Khan’s latest film Ready, may have not got the best reviews from critics, but with cinemas packed the move is on its way to becoming a hit. The film may not be as big a hit as Dabangg was, it has managed to get the biggest opening of the year, with a projected total of 22 crores net in the first two days of collections.
The Ready box office figures already have the distributors heaving a sigh of relief and eyeing a fat profit as well. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the comedy film starring Asin and Salman Khan opened to a rip-roaring start on Friday. It saw the occupancy of 60 to 80 percent at both multiplexes and single screen theatres. Some shows in the evening registered a house-full.
The takings on Saturday were lower than the first day, and that is a cause of concern. The coming week will tell how big a hit Ready actually is.
Salman wishes good for Shahrukh…
Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan are undoubtedly Bollywood’s worst rivals, but they don’t seem to hold any grudge against each other.
Recently, in Delhi, during a promotional event, a reporter threw up at Salman Khan to comment about Shahrukh Khan’s superhero film Ra.One, Salman had only good things to say.
“I wish Shah Rukh all the best for Ra.one and hope it’s a hit,” Salman said.
If Salman would want SRK to watch hid film Ready, Salman said: “Asin and Bhushan Kumar will show it to him. Asin has worked with me and Aamir. She’s damn good in the film. So I’m sure she would want SRK to see the film and know what he’s missing out on.”
Ready is Salman’s second film with Asin after London Dreams. Salman Khan said the film is a family comedy.
“We have worked very hard on this film. I hope you guys enjoy it. It’s a family-comedy. The film revolves around three families,” Salman said.
Asin’s golden heart….
Following the footsteps of her senior and co-actor Salman Khan, Asin has become very soft hearted towards the needy. We hear that, Asin, recently helped her maid with Rs 4 lakh to buy a house for herself.
A source who witnessed Asin’s large-heartedness recently said, “Asin’s maid who has been working for her since four to five years wanted to buy a house in Goregaon and the actress had promised her all the help she could, including money. And that she did, giving her as much as four lakh rupees!”
The maid confirmed the news and added, “My ‘memsaab’ is very kind hearted. She not only pays me well but helps me with money whenever I need it for my household expenses or children’s medical aid.”
The very shocked Asin questioned back, “How did you get the news? Who is your source?” Initially the humble actress refused to comment but after a little coaxing she accepted that she does charity regularly. She said, “I keep helping the poor and the needy as and when I can, and that is not a big deal. I do not like to discuss this as I don’t do it for publicity.”
Asin missing from Salman’s ‘Ready’ world premiere, in Dubai…
Salman Khan’s most awaited film ‘Ready’, is all set for its dhamaka world premiere in Dubai. But, the film’s leading lady Asin Thottumkal will be missing from action there.
The reason for her absence happens to be another man, a friend of Salman’s, Sajid Nadiadwala.
Asin who has been signed on as one of the 18 actors in Nadiadwala’s Housefull 2 had applied for UK visa since she would be needed in London for shooting a part of the said film. Her passport, as it happens, is still stuck there.
A source informed, “Asin has given her passport to Nadiadwala Grandsons, the production house for her next film, since she’ll be joining the crew in London immediately after Ready releases. She wants to go but now she can’t.”
Asin confirmed the news and added, “I was looking forward to the world premiere of Ready happening in Dubai. Both Salman and I were supposed to go but now I am stuck.
I have not given up hope though and I am ready to fly even at the last minute. I am just praying that I get my passport. I have even packed my bags. Let’s hope that the passport comes at the last minute and I get to attend.”
Is Salman Khan hogging the limelight alone in Ready???
In the upcoming and most awaited flick ‘Ready’, Salman Khan is all alone hogging the limelight. And guess what??? The film’s leading lady, Asin has no qualms with that.
While anyone else in her place would have definitely felt bad and insecure, Asin says she doesn’t mind being sidelined by Salman.
“When a film stars Salman Khan, it is but natural that the script is written to accentuate his presence in the film. It is also logical to have the film revolve around him. The same has to reflect in the promos as well where his style and mannerisms are exposed to the audience,” Asin tells a news agency.
The South beauty has already acted with Salman in London Dreams. Doing another flick with Sallu was a very conscious decision.
“I waited for the best offer to come my way and I got that in the form of ‘Ready’ where I get to play a solo heroine in a commercial film with Salman and Anees Bazmee,” said Asin.
The film is set for release on June 3.
Neil Nitin Mukesh and Asin, are not an item…
Neil Nitin Mukesh was literally shocked on hearing rumours about his secret affair with Bollywood actress Asin.
What’s more shocking is that, all these rumors have taken life in his absence. Niel is currently in Russia, shooting for Abbas Mustan’s Players.
He rubbishes the rumors saying, “To begin with I am not seeing Asin. I don’t know how these rumours take life. Regular friendships become affairs and suddenly someone else other than me and my family are making career decisions for me. This has got to stop.”
The recent report that Neil had recommended Asin to a filmmaker, who later said she wasn’t doing the film but also didn’t want Neil to do it, has actually got Neil into the buzz.
Nitin adds, “And as for which film I should do or not, that is a call only I will take,”
