Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone are busy walking the red carpets across the world as their forthcoming film Chandni Chowk to China is premiered in all the major cities in the world i.e. London, Toronto and New York. Check out how they looked at the premiere parties -

Its one hell of big deal to keep one’s wife happy. And Akshay Kumar has become quite a pro at this.

A few days ago, we read that Akshay Kumar gifted his wife a lavish Bentley car worth 3 crore on her 35th birthday before he left for Hong Kong. And since he was absent on his wife’s birthday he made it up by taking the entire family to Goa.

He hosted a party for his wife, his mom-in-law Dimple Kapadia and his mom Aruna where he cooked them some sumptuous Gujarati delicacies.

It is known that Akshay was inspired by his role of a chef in the film Chandni Chowk to China. For those of you who forgot, Akshay Kumar is an excellent cook. He worked as a waiter in his early twenties in Bankok.

Needless to say, Twinkle was extremely happy!

Aishwarya Rai made news when she picked up shades worth 10 Lakh rupees, Asin picked up shoes worth 2 lakhs and now Akshay Kumar has raised a lot of eyebrows when he decided to wear an Italian designer suit worth Rs. 5 lakh for his forthcoming film Kambakht Ishq.

The movie produced by Sajid Nadiadwala has been already declared one of the biggest budget films. It stars Hollywood biggies like Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh Brandon Routh, and Carmen Electra along with apne desi Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor.

A source from the film’s crew reported, “Akshay was shooting for his introductory scene in the film. Shabina had sent nearly a dozen suits, each priced at approximately Rs 1.5 lakh. But Akshay didn’t like any suit. There was chaos with everybody wondering how to resolve the problem since Akshay was supposed to shoot for the particular scene in a few hours.”

That’s when Akshay and Sabir decided to go shopping. “The scene also has Kareena Kapoor. Kambakkht Ishq also stars a few prominent Hollywood actors. Akshay obviously wanted to look suave so he chose a suit, which was much more expensive than what Sajid had imagined. But Sajid is a magnanimous producer. He and Akshay are quite close. In fact, they went to the same school (Don Bosco, Matunga) where Akshay was one year junior to Sajid,” said our source.

A source close to Sajid, confirmed the story and said, “Yes. This did happen. Akshay didn’t wear any of the suits sent by Shabina. But that’s okay. Such things do happen during film shoots. Akshay chose a superb black suit with a hint of blue. It’s a unique piece.”

All good things come for a price… and Akshay Kumar is getting pricey as he gets good.

Khiladi Akshay Kumar turns 41 today and what an year he had. He is one of the most successful stars of Bollywood. He had back to back hits last year with Bhool Bhulaya, Namaste London Hey Baby and Welcome.And he started his year with Singh Is Kinng becoming the official King of the box-office this year.

He is an amazing actor, excellent stuntman and an awesome comedian. He excels in every role he undertakes.

Katrina Kaif has all the things going her way ever since she found out that her pairing opposite Akshay Kumar is most filmmakers’ hit formula. And Akshay also seems to have the highest regard for Katz among all his co-stars.

A source reveals, “Akshay shot for a television show on Tuesday at Filmistan Studios. Titled The Making Of A Superstar, it will air on Star Gold during Diwali. The actresses who feature include Dia Mirza, Amrita Arora, Tanushree Dutta, Anjana Sukhani, Lara Dutta, Amisha Patel besides Katrina Kaif. All the females didn’t have a say about the songs they would perform to. It was only Katrina who could select her favourite tracks.”

And not just that, “Since the show is about the making of Akshay as the superstar, he makes an appearance in all the songs of the other actresses. However, Katrina will be the only one who will get to perform with Akki. Singh Is Kinng is their fourth successful film together and they are cashing in on it. Katrina flew in from New York last night and will be in Mumbai for three days where she will shoot for the show along with Akki. Everything is hush-hush.”

After all the lady gave four hits with him… that is the least he could do for his best leading lady.

Latest Bollywood sensation, Akshay Kumar took to the ramp recently to flaunt Levis latest offering. The Khiladi flaunted his fab body and set all female hearts on fire.

Akki jokingly said, “To me, my butt looks good in jeans.”

He added, “I have been wearing Levis since my childhood, my father has been wearing for the past three decades, everyone in my family has been buying Levis.”

What about Ruff & Tuff man!!! You never wore them???

Akshay Kumar is on high these days with his latest flick Singh is Kinng breaking all box office records. But this guy remains to be humble throughout and doesn’t want to be branded as a king.

He says humbly, “Like I keep saying these days the real king is Mr. (Amitabh) Bachchan, and no one else. Some people don’t like my saying this. But it’s the truth. Whatever I’m today is because of the love and support of my fans. Beyond that I don’t want to be the king.”

That’s the reason Akki we are calling you THE KING.

Remember Akshay Kumar once endorsed Jeans brand- Ruff and Tuff and now the new age King of Bollywood is going to endorse American jeans brand – Levi Struass.

Akshay Kumar will be launching the brand Levi’s 501 in our country.

The advertisement with Akshay has been shot in the stunning locales of Los Angeles and is said to be very sexy and eye-catching.

Akshay has been paid an outstanding 12 crores for promoting the hot brand.

Akshay Kumar representative confirmed the deal, adding, “He is very choosy about his brand endorsement and endorses only brands that he really believes in.”

Singh is Kinng was the most hyped movie this season. The Anees Bazmee+Katrina+Akshay combo in a Vipul Shah package is the reason enough. Audiences had decided in advance that they will like the movie and so happens, as the movie truly lives up to the hype.It is a typical Anees Bazmee comedy (ala No Entry and Welcome) bound to entertain the masses. Its a story about the clumsy cute Sardar with a golden heart who wants to do good but messes it up. Troubled by this menace the villagers pack him off to Australia to bring a fellow villager Lucky Singh back home.

The story unfolds with a series of comic mishaps that happen as Happy Singh sets out to do a good deed. He lands up in Egypt instead of Australia where we meets Sonia (Katrina Kaif) and falls in love with her. They single a couple of songs there and Happy Singh sets out to Australia again to find Lucky Singh.

Lucky Singh (Sonu Sood) plays a ruthless underworld don in Australia and surprisingly his fellow gangsters are only sardars. In the comic chaos of getting Lucky Singh back, Happy Singh finds himself becoming the king of the underworld.

Overall, the movie is a complete mindless entertainer like Anees Bazmee’s previous entertainers. It is a total paisa wasool. Akshay Kumar is truly the king of the movie – a complete entertainer with superb comic timing. He shares amazing chemistry with not only Katrina but also Om Puri. Some of their dialogues are superb.

The movie has been packaged, promoted and marketed well and you know just what to expect from the movie. This works in favor of the film which is all set to break box office records.

My verdict – Go for it!

Action star, Akshay Kumar does not believe that he is the king even when his film Singh in Kinng is making waves at the box-office, as he thinks the Big B is the ultimate king of Bollywood.

He says, “All the other actors have been in the industry for 15-20 years, but Amitabh Bachchan has been working here for more than 35 years, so he is the real king.”

Akshay who has worked with Amitabh in ‘Khakee’ Waqt’ and’ ‘Aankhen’ adds, “I’m overwhelmed with the down to earth attitude of the great actor. In spite of being so successful, he is so humble with everyone. “I’m not pointing to any actor. This is my personal opinion and I am free to express it.”

When quizzed how he feels about his role in ‘Singh Is Kinng’ he said,  “I am playing Happy Singh in the film, which is very close to my heart. I’m a Punjabi and grew up in a Punjabi environment. I did not do much preparation for the role as I am familiar with their style. Playing the character was not at all difficult for me.”

Well now that’s a humble quote from the King himself.
