Ajay Determined To Quit Smoking

ajay-devgan.jpg
After Saif Ali Khan, here’s another smoker who is determined to quit his old habit of smoking. Actor Ajay Devgan, who is a chain smoker and exhales not less than a steam engine, has finally made his mind to quit his smoking. As of now, everything is under control, and the actor seems to be successfully able to conquer his desire to smoke. Wifey Kajol, can’t help but thank God for giving somne senses to her hubby dearest. Kajol’s dad had a heart attack, which had made her really concerned for Ajay, especially with him not even trying to give up smoking.
Is health minister, Mr. Ramadoss listening??

Tanisha Mukherji To Be Relaunched

ajtan.JPG
Remember Tanisha?? The girl who looked she forgot to wear clothes in the movie Neil n Nikki? Well, if you still can’t remember her, we can only tell you that she is Kajol’s sister, and with Neil n Nikki to her credit, her debut movie certainly wasn’t a dream launch. But her jiju dearest, i.e. Ajay Devgan, has decided to help his sissy-in-law out. The reports say that Ajay Devgan has made his mind to relaunch Tanisha in one of the three movies taken up by his production house. The movie with Tanisha in it is still under the scripting stage.
After a disaster in her debut movie, can we expect anything out of this girl??

After the mixed response of audiences received by director Ajay Devagan’s first directorial venture, the actor is determined to follow his heart and direct another movie. His production house has already announced to produce three films of which one is surely going to be directed by Mr. Devgan himself. The actor though is busy shooting movies as an actor as of now. He will be seen in London Dreams by Vipul Shah and Toonpur Ka Superhero soon.
All we do is wait to watch if the actor has matured into a good director with his next movie??

Kajol’s father passes away

tanuja-kajol-tanisha-pictures.jpg

Tragedy struck Kajol when her father Shomu Chaterjee passed away a day before the release of her new flick ‘U Me aur Hum.’

Shomu Chatterjee was a very well known writer, director and producer and made classics like Sangdil Sanam and Pathar ke Insaan.

Shomu Chatterjee is survived by his wife Tanuja and two daughters Kajol and Tanishaa.

Let’s pray that God give strength to the Mukherjee family to cope up with this tragedy.

May his soul rest in peace.

U Me aur Hum movie review

Poster-3.jpg

U Me aur Hum

Director: Ajay Devgan

Cast: Ajay Devgan and Kajol

After Aamir Khan who shined with his first directorial debut its time for Ajay Devgan too who has come out with a soul stirring movie like U Me aur Hum. UMAH clearly scores over Krazzy 4 this week with Ajay Devgan’s great direction and above all Kajol with a great performance.

U Me aur Hum is a love story about Ajay (Ajay Devgan) who falls in love at first sight with Piya (Kajol) on a cruise. In the first half of the movie we see a typical Bollywood romance with Ajay wooing Piya. The second half becomes intense which shows that marriage is only successful when both husband and wife stand for each in their times of distress.

Ajay is psychiatrist who is on a vacation trip with is friends and their respective spouses (Karan Khanna, Sumeet Raghavan, Isha Sharvani and Divya Dutta). Piya (Kajol) is a waitress in the cruise bar and when Ajay spots Piya he falls head over heels in love with her. Piya a strong-headed girl rejects Ajay’s advances. But Ajay is so much smitten by Piya that he tries every trick to woo her which includes trespassing into her cabin and reading her personal diary: Book of Possibilities. Psychiatrist by profession he uses the right tactics to win Piya’s heart. Piya finally falls for him but when he confesses her about reading her diary and using it to get her all hell breaks loose and Ajay is left alone.

But destiny brings them back together again and this time they end up marrying. Marriage for Piya and Ajay is like heaven and soon they become an ideal husband and wife for their friends. But as everything good comes to an end their marriage life starts getting complicated and another nail in the coffin is Piya’s illness: ‘Alzheimer’. How Piya and Ajay save their marriage and love forms the rest of the story.

The story of the movie is told in a flashback by Ajay Devgan, which adds charm to the movie. Aswan Whir does justice to the U Me aur Hum by rendering witty humorous dialogues to thought-provoking ones with great finesse. Ajay Devgan is terrific both in front of the camera as well as back of it. Kajol is as always awesome in her performance as an Alzheimer suffering young lady and is a strong contender for this year’s best actress award. Supporting actors irritate you a bit and there is nothing much to write about them.

Vishal Bharadwaj spins the magic of Omkara once again by rendering good music. The best song is the title track ‘U Me aur Hum’ and the peppy ‘Jee Le’ and the best thing U Me aur Hum is the great chemistry between real life husband and wife Kajol and Ajay. Ajay Devgan is the man behind direction and views but Kajol brought them to life.

U Me aur Hum will appeal to the younger audience, couples, couples soon to tie the knot and everybody else who is in love. The film has its share of drawbacks and mistakes but those can be forgiven ‘coz its Ajay’s first movie as a director. The movie will definitely force you and your better half to become HUM and make your relationship much better.

My Rating: *** 1/2

Kajol 19.jpg
Karan Johar has been tom-tomming that he has signed SRK and Kajol for his next movie ‘I am Khan’ but K.JO has taken his friendship with Kajol a little bit for granted. Apparently the beautiful actress has not given the green signal to the project.

Kajol revealed, “I have been approached for this movie by Karan, but I haven’t signed it yet. The script is not ready as yet and I am waiting for a narration. Only then can I decide.”

Come on Kajol go ahead with the project, all your fans are waiting anxiously to see you with SRK once again.

Amitabh Bachchan not very happy with RGV’s AAG

With Amitabh Bachchan not being happy about the final product of Sholay’s remake ‘Aag’, RGV’s next film Cobra has come to a stand still. As reported earlier, the Amitabh- Abhishek and Ajay Devgan starer Cobra was RGV’s next ambitious project with the Bachchan clan. After the disastrous response from both public and critics, this project had actually become a dream for RGV but Abhishek came to his rescue by suggesting that Cobra should now have either Saif Ali Khan or Salman Khan to make it interesting. And guess what? Papa Bachchan seems very hopeful about this idea and has again taken interest in reviving RGV’s Cobra.

rgv-bachchan.jpg

But to come to think of it…will Salman ever be a part of Bachchan films or rather will Salman be able to do the film because of his imprisonment? And also if Saif or Salman have a slot will Ajay be given any role in the film? God looks like RGV is in real mess, if he convinces one the other will be annoyed…

Ajay Devgan to play King Ashoka

omkara10.jpgRaj Kumar Santoshi’s “Halla Bol” is almost done and the man is busy finalizing the name for his next film which stars Ajay Devgan. And as usual Ajay again gets a unique role to play- the character of King Asoka. After King Khan’s version of Asoka, Ajay will flesh the character of the Great King Ashoka. The film is expected to roll in August this year and completed in one schedule by December 2007. A huge budget has been planned to cover the story and life of the king. Ajay is all very excited about the project and says that it has the best script he has heard in all these years. Ashoka came to Santoshi’s mind when he was researching for his planned film Ramayana, which will release next year. Hopefully this attempt to picturize The Maurya King Ashoka will be better than what Santosh Sivan.

Ajay Devgan thrilled about directing Kajol

Ajay Devgan is planning to step into two boats at a time. Though he is famous for his ‘Phool Aur Kante’ sequence where he stands on two running bikes, this one looks tough! Apparently Ajay has decided that he will do his directorial debut with his next home production movie “Main, Tum Aur Hum” which will have Kajol as the female lead.
ajay-kajol.jpg
To make his job tough Ajay has decided to step in to the protagonist’s role along with handling the director’s hot seat. Sure trust Ajay to do it with much more ease. The pair’s first movie “Pyar To Hona Hi Tha” was a box office success but the next one-“Raju Chacha” was an utter flop. So if one goes by alternate theory, this one should be a hit. Good luck Ajay!
