Kareena Kapoor it is for Heroine!!!
Well, its now confirmed that Bebo has replaced Aishwarya Rai in director Madhur Bhandarkar’s film Heroine. And guess how much she is being paid???
Well, Kareena is being paid a lump sum of 8 crore, making her the highest paid actress in Bollywood. Buzz had it that the actress had demanded 10 crore.
A source close to the project revealed, “After Aishwarya left the film midway due to her pregnancy, Madhur was left with very few options. At one point in time, the filmmakers had even decided to shelve the project. However, UTV was very keen to work it out with another heroine. And since work had started on the same, they decided to rope in another heroine for the film.
They had very few options to choose from. Vidya, Priyanka and Kareena were the only options. While Priyanka did not want to do the film since it was very similar to Fashion, Vidya was already busy shooting for Ekta Kapoor’s Dirty Picture.”
“Madhur was forced to go back to their original choice Kareena Kapoor. This time around, Kareena decided to do the film.
Then began the task of getting her dates. Her diary already choc-a-bloc with dates given out for Bodyguard, Agent Vinod and Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Part 2, making time for Madhur’s project seemed tough. Bodyguard is gearing up for Eid release.
Portions of Agent Vinod remains to be shot and she had already committed to Once Upon A Time… However, Kareena juggled her dates and made herself available for Heroine. UTV wanted to thank her for her efforts and pay her well for it.
The deal has now been signed for Rs 8 crore. Though reports suggested that she had asked for Rs 10 crore, the final figure is now Rs 8 crore,” added the source.
Ash not interested in flaunting her baby bump!!!
Buzz has it that many international magazines are trying to get the very gorgeous Aishwarya Rai and Lara Dutta to flaunt their baby curve for their covers.
But if buzz is to be believed, Ash is currently not interested because the Bachchan family is not too keen on it. While on the other hand, Lara is still giving it a thought.

Rumors surrounding Aishwarya Rai and ‘Heroine’ never seem to end.
With every passing day, a new controversy sprouts up surrounding actor Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan’s pregnancy and the film Heroine she was slated to do. The latest has filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar blaming Aishwarya saying that she ‘hid the truth’ about her pregnancy.
The Bachchans are apparently miffed with reports that Ash’s backing out of Heroine has resulted in monetary losses to the production house to the tune of Rs 18 crore. He said that all such reports are false.
“Whatever has happened between Aishwarya, Madhur (Bhandarkar, co-producer) and UTV (co-producer) is between them. I know that the rumours going around are not true. I hope that the truth comes out soon,” said actor Amitabh Bachchan on his way back from Ajmer Dargah on Monday.
According to Bachchan, all rumours of a huge monetary loss (which was also hinted at by Madhur) are false. “Everybody knew that Aishwarya was married when she signed the film. So you mean to say that actors can’t get married or have children? I don’t think this can be a part of any contract that you cannot get married or have children if you working in a project,” adds Bachchan.
Bachchan is upset with the banner, UTV too. “I had completed Shoe Bite long back. I had also invested my time into it and completed the film which was based on Johnny Walker. I have never indulged in this kind of talk even though the film has not been released till now and I have no word about when it will be released,” says Bachchan.
Though Aishwarya is apparently not ready to react to Madhur’s allegation, a friend of the actress told DNA saying that she has not accepted any compensation for the film.
“They have not paid her anything for the film. All this hue and cry about losses is false as they had only shot for seven to 10 days, out of which the first few days were spent in photo-shoots and location shoots. The actual film shooting hadn’t even begun. Ash is very upset with the fact that she’s being targeted for being pregnant — a time when people should be happy for her,” says the source adding that besides Shoebite, other complete films like David Dhawan’s Hook Ya Crook (John Abraham- Genelia D’ Souza starrer) too are lying in the cans.
Aishwarya Rai keeps director Raj Kumar Santoshi waiting!!!
Madhur Bhandakar went on a heroine hunt after hearing the news of Aishwarya Rai’s pregnancy. However, director Raj Kumar Santoshi, who has roped in Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan for his film ‘Ladies And Gentlemen’, is in no mood to replace his lead pair.
The director is very adamant on having Ash in the film and so he is ready to wait for the actress until she is fit to hit the sets.
However, a big question is that, will Ash return to Bollywood, after dilevery??? It’s a know fact that the Bachchans always choose family over anything else, chances are that the actress has bid Bollywood, alvida!!!

Aishwarya will work with Smile Train to achieve an ambitious new goal in helping change the lives of over one million children worldwide who suffer from shame and isolation because of cleft lip and cleft palate.
The actress will work to help provide free cleft lip surgery to children in 76 developing countries around the world, including India.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan mentions, “God has given me plenty of reasons to smile and I feel it’s time to spread it around. There are a lot of children out there who so desperately need help, but can’t receive timely care because their families cannot afford this surgery or are ill-educated about this condition. Working with Smile Train, if I can make a difference in their lives, it will certainly make me feel honored and blessed.”

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai, who was to receive an honor from the French government here Wednesday, requested officials to postpone the ceremony in the wake of the Mumbai blasts. The actress also maintained a minute’s silence to mourn the deaths.
“Thank you all for being here. The current situation has really disturbed and shocked all of us. I thank the French embassy for being supportive and considering the sensitivity of the situation. They have been kind to consider me and my family’s request to postpone the celebration till another time. We as Indians can’t go ahead and celebrate in such a situation,” Aishwarya told reporters at the event.
“The terrible blasts have shook us, but we shall stand strong. They (terrorists) should get it straight that we won’t let them succeed. You cannot break us, we all believe in deep strong Indian spirit. You will not get the better of us. God bless us and Jai Hind,” added Aishwarya, who was accompanied by her actor-husband Abhishek Bachchan.
Mumbai was hit by three blasts that left at least 21 people dead and over 100 injured on Wednesday evening.
French Ambassdor Jerome Bonnafont said: “The terrible series of blast has shocked all of us. It seems the time is not right. I pay my condolence and want the Indian people to know that the government of France is with them.”
SRK wants to give the soon-to-be parents, parenting tips..
The entire Bollywood family is overjoyed by the news that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are expecting their first joy of bundle.
One actor who personally congratulated both Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan on the good news was SRK. To Abhishek, Shahrukh tweeted: “@juniorbachchan papa i am so excited for u…really happy. we need to get together soon and i will give u some tips on bringing up lil ones.”
The superstar is presently headed to Toronto for the IIFA 2011. Since Shahrukh Khan is returning to IIFA after seven years he is excited about performing at the awards function on June 25, but his knee has not been in good shape.
Before leaving for Toronto, Shahrukh got his knee examined at a hospital.
“In hospital getting my knee taped up. feeling awful not being fully fit for iifa…as is attending after so many years. sweet guys wizandre and team…will try and do my best. Toronto knee or not here i come !!!” Shahrukh Khan wrote.
To make matters worse Shahrukh Khan’s flight to Toronto was delayed.
Double celebrations for the Bachchan Pariwaar..
Apart from being happy about the fact that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be becoming a mother soon, the actress has another reason to celebrate. The French Government has decided to honor Ash with the Knight Of The Order Of Arts And Letters (Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres) for her contribution to the world of cinema and the development of Indo-French relations.
This honor, however, was bestowed upon her in 2008 but she was unable to receive it in person because of her father’s illness. This time, Aishwarya will receive the award in Delhi by Jerome Bonnafont the France Ambassador to India on the eve of the French National Day on July 14. Both the Bachchan family and Aishwarya’s maternal family will be present at the occasion.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set to attend the French National Day celebrations in Mumbai, this Thursday, July 14. The event will be hosted by the French Embassy at a South Mumbai hotel.
Ash has been maintaining a low profile ever since the news of her pregnancy was out.
The actress’ French connection goes back a long way. Last month, she attended the French derby in Chantilly, France. Aishwarya is also a regular at the Cannes Film Festival for last several years.She is also the brand ambassador for a French cosmetic and a watch brand.
A source says, “She will be attending a show organised to celebrate the French National Day. There are several dignitaries and Aishwarya may make an appearance as she endorses a French brand. This would be her first public appearance since the announcement of pregnancy.”
As part of the celebrations, designers Rahul Mishra, Nachiket Barve and Narendra Kumar are designing costumes inspired by the French flag.
Nachiket Barve for whom Aishwarya has been a muse, is making a garment embodying the spirit of France using its national colours of red, white and blue.
Nachiket says, “She has sported my garments in the past and it’s always a pleasure to dress her up. Her presence in itself is great attraction to the evening.”
Salman Khan’s reaction towards Aishwarya Rai’s pregnancy…
The news of Aishwarya’s pregnancy has created the expected buzz in Bollywood and now, even Salman Khan seems to be in a mood to mend fences with the Bachchans by congratulating the Bachchan bahu.
When asked to comment on the news of Aishwarya’s pregnancy, which was broken on Twitter by Big B, Salman said,
“I would definitely like to wish her. I would also tell Ash and Abhi to make a cricket team.”
Salman, who has donned the producer’s hat with ‘Chillar Party,’ seems to be very influenced by kids and looks like, this is what he’ d want Abhishek-Aishwarya to follow too.
