Aishwarya and Abhishek’s engagement ring
Did you see that huge rock that Ash is flaunting while she hugs her would-be-father-in-law outside Lilavathi hospital (when the newly engaged couple went to see Teji Bachchan with Big B)?
Well that’s her engagement ring that Abhishek slipped into her finger. Sources say that Tina Ambani, a close friend of the Bachchans, selected the solitaire on behalf of the Bachchans from a jewellery store in Breach Candy. Apparently, Tina visited the store just days before the engagement and told the staff that she was buying the diamond ring “for someone else”. So it’s for sure that the engagement was well planned just that there was to be a formal announcement and that the Big B did very well. Of course Jr. B had to propose the lady love formally!!! The ring costs 50 lakh and why not? The lady should not settle for anything less as she is among the 25 Indians who figure in this year’s list of 250 Global Young Leaders by the Geneva-based World Economic Forum. Dum Duradum Dum mast mast!!!
Aishwarya-Abhishek post wedding party planned
Alright… media always has something or the other to predict, especially on Ash and Abhishek wedding. This time it’s their post wedding party venue. When the Bachchans made it clear that the wedding dates have not yet been thought oh (which media guessed to be February 19 or March 17), why not speculate about the post wedding party. It is going to be the ‘pink city’ Jaipur or ‘lake city’ Udaipur.
The Bachchans are considered to be close to the erstwhile royal family of Jaipur and chances are that the bash would be held here and be attended by over 6,000 guests, including Bollywood stars, industrialists and politicians. Of course… anything to do with the most eligible bachelor’s wedding with the famous face of the world should be royal! What say people?
Abhishek-Aishwarya marriage – not actually!!!
Everyone has been going gaga over the 19th of February! The supposed news on Abhishek- Aishwarya wedding, for which gala preparations were being made- including hotel bookings, Limousines, designer wear and all, have all gone down the drain with the declaration of Drona shooting dates. Abhishek will be busy shooting for his friend Goldie Behl’s Drona, so there is no much awaited shadi of the year! Shrishti Arya, the producer of the film says, “Abhishek is going to be shooting with us on February 19 in Bikaner. So he’s surely not getting married on that day.” Forget the wedding Abhishek will be nowhere near Ms Rai. He will with his co-stars Priyanka Chopra, Kay Kay Menon and other crewmembers of Drona. As for Aishwarya Rai, she will be shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker’s Jodha Akbar at Karjat.
A close friend of the actress further reveals, “As per my knowledge, Aishwarya won’t have any respite from her set of work. For the last two months, she was in Jaipur and now when Abhishek is heading there, she’s going to be in Karjat. Jodha Akbar’s an extremely important film and they’re going to wrap it up only in April.”
Bad Man ‘Provoked’ by Ash
The bad man of Bollywood, Gulshan Grover, is gearing up to be the husband of the Bollywood’s most beautiful actresses,
Aishwarya Rai in Provoked. “It all started when I saw the film in London. I was highly moved by Aishwarya’s powerhouse performance in the film. After the movie I told my friend Jag Mundra that I should have played the Punjabi husband, who loves his wife but ill-treats her because of jealousy,” says Grover. And now the movie is towards the end of its post production phase Jag has found one way to incorporate Gulshan into the whole act. He has asked Gulshan to lend his voice for the husband Naveen Andrew’s character.
“This is my way of saluting the fantastic performance by Ash. While I am dubbing and watching each scene many times I cannot help but notice the detailed work done by Ash and my friend Jag Mundra,” he says! It is for the first time that Gulshan is lending his voice to some other actor. And if the Big Bad Man of the industry says that Ash has performed well, we have no reason to discard the comment. Looks like Ash in Provoked will be pitted against Ash in Guru. Let’s see if this girl turns out to be the director’s actor and not herself in both the movies.
Aishwarya at Pushkar offers prayers
Aishwarya was at Pushkar on Thursday and paid obeisance at
the tomb of Sufi saint Khawaja Moinudeen Chisti and offered prayers at the Brahma temple at Pushkar near here. While at the dargah she almost went unnoticed, her bodyguards had a little scuffle with the priests at the brahma temple. Well if people really didn’t notice the world famous face then something might be wrong with them. So it is natural for stars to attract attention. But I must say the lady managed it well and not like Katrina.

So January 11, 2007 is the big day when the Canadians in Toronto will see Bobby Bedi’s venture at the Elgin Theatre!!! Talk of Bollywood going from strength to strength huh 
By the way, if insiders are to be believed, the movie is predicted to be one of the finest movies ever churned by a Bollywood director…
Plus its got the most talked about pair of India – Abhishekhwarya (read about this grand merger of names in some blog ) so you guys better watch out for it, while Sowmya n I make sure to watch it first day first show and let you know how it was
An insight into the thoughts of the man who has a problem with the Ash-Hrithik smooch!
So everybody is talking about the famous anti-smooching case that’s been filed against Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan by some crazy advocate Shailendra Dwivedi… lets see who the man is and what does he have in his mind…
I read his interview at rediff.com and couldn’t help but get amused that a man like him is actually a successful advocate!!! Seriously guys… you wanna know what kinda explanation he has to give for his suing Ash-Hrithik and not Mallika Sherawat or any couple who have locked lips on-screen???
The half bald man says “I didn’t see any of Mallika Sherawat’s films, therefore I am not aware of these things. I happened to see Dhoom 2 and I found the scene objectionable. It is a film that one cannot see with one’s family, and therefore I filed a case.”
Well I don’t know whether you consider this a case of “Ignorance is bliss” or something else… but we, in clear cut English call it a PUBLICITY STUNT! Had you sued all the Mallika Sherawat films till now, you wouldn’t have gotten HALF as much of popularity as you’ve received with just ONE case… I guess its time the people of Indore opened their eyes and stopped wasting their precious Gandhigiri on this moron’s words…

Mani Ratnam goes for the real
When it comes to Mani Ratnam, it is clear that he would not settle for anything less than real. Mani had initially planned
that in Ash’s introduction song she would ride a bicycle. But unfortunately while Ash was learning cycling she met with an accident and therefore Mani had to chuck the song, which had beats of cycling too. In its place Rahman composed the song ‘Nanna Re’ almost overnight where Aishwarya is seen crossing many places and it’s a rain song. In one sequence where the lyrics say ‘Main Tair Ke Chali’, Mani Ratnam really made Ash swim across the lake area. So you see whether its cycling or swimming, Mani needs it made realistically.
Aishwarya and Hrithik targeted for obscene scenes
After the release of Dhoom-2, Ash and Hrithik have been in news more than Ash and Abhishek. Earlier for Bachchans’ denial of Ash’s bold moves in Dhoom-2 and now Shailendra Dwivedi, advocate, has filed Obscenity case before the judicial magistrate in Indore on behalf of RK Batham who said that the scenes in Dhoom-2 involving Ash and Hrithik are degrading to women and are vulgar. May be the person needs to see the movie again to spot Bipasha doing some skin show. 
The question is that why are only the bigies targeted for such deeds, are the song-album people and of course reality shows like Big Boss doing any less? And let the women folk think whether they really need to define liberation in terms of their favorite actor’s characters in the films. Come on people talk some sense and not such rubbish. How about giving some comments on this guys…voice your opinions if u really feel about the issue. Let the fire spark!
Aishwarya will have to marry a ‘Peepal’ Tree!!!
Bachchans have been buying banarasi sarees and have been doing pujas for Ash and Abhishek. The whole sequence in Varanasi fuels the rumors that Ash and Abhishek are going to get married. The latest in the series is that Ash will have to marry a ‘peepal’ tree in order to get rid of her ‘manglik’ dosh. Once she gets married to a ‘peepal’ tree she can marry a human being. What a tragedy that miss World will have to marry a tree. This is height of being superstitious. Abhishek seemed to be pretty modern when he accepted his girl in Munnabhai in spite of being manglik. Ashhhhhhhhh fell and got bruised during the shoot of Guru. Guess what was she riding on- a bicycle…lagta hai kissiii ne Ash ko distract kar diya kya…he he he!
59Poor Ash she keeps hurting herself on the sets. But last time it was really big- she was shooting for ‘Khakee’ and she had met with an accident when a jeep backed down on her on the sets. Good that Mani chose a historical film set against the backdrop of India’s struggle for Independence because of which Ash just had to ride a bicycle!
