Happy Wedding Anniversary to Bollywood’s ‘Power’ Couple..
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai celebrate four years of marital bliss today. It’s a busy day for Jr AB but he will keep himself free in the evening and fly back to be with his beloved. Abhishek is currently in Hyderabad, promoting his upcoming film Dum Maaro Dum which releases this Friday.
A source reveals, “Abhishek will be in Hyderabad on today and Rohan plans to let Abhi off in the evening. AB Jr plans to fly in after that for a possible party in the evening at Prateeksha with close friends in attendance.”
Daddy AB was the first to wish the couple.
He wrote on his Twitter page: “Just past midnight and …. ” Happy Wedding Anniversary ” to Abhishek and Aishwarya .. spent time with them and brought in the day.”
Guess who is Abhi’s favorite co star???
Abhishek Bachchan, while promoting his upcoming flick Dum Maro Dum, in an interview, candidly talked about his favourite co-stars.
He said, “Rani is the best co-star I have ever worked with. She’s beautiful and is a brilliant actor.” When asked if he would like to work with her again, Abhi promptly replied, “Of course, I would love to work with her.”
It can be recalled that Abhishek and Rani, had been linked up with each other before Abhi-Ash’s marriage. There were also rumours that the two are planning to tie the knot.The on screen couple have worked in films like Yuva, Bunty Aur Babli, Laga Chunri Mein Daag and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.
Abhishek having confessed his desire to work with Rani, we look forward to see the duo sizzle together on screen, very soon.
Ash will not have Abhi by her side at Cannes….
Recently, we had reported that Aishwarya Rai will be walking the red carpet with her hubby Abhishek Bachchan at the Cannes film fest. But now, news has it that Ash will not have her hubby by her side.
Aishwarya and Abhishek, as a couple walked the red carpet together for the first time in 2007. Even last year, the duo were in Cannes, to promote their film Raavan.
However, this year, Abhi will have to skip Cannes as he will be busy shooting in Russia for Abbas-Mustan’s Players.
This 64th Cannes Film Festival will be held from 11th May to 22nd May 2011. Ash, being the brand ambassador for L’oreal, will be walking the red carpet for the 10th consecutive time.
A proud Abhishek said, “I am very proud of her. I think she is the only Indian actress to have that.”
Buzz also has it that not just the film fest, but, Abhi will also miss their fourth wedding anniversary on April 20th due to a packed schedule.
Abhishek Bachchan is all set to flaunt his love for Ash…
Abhishek Bachchan confessed, on a promotional event of Dum Maro Dum, that he would love to express his love to Aishwaraya by flaunting a tattoo. Now, Ash can also proudly enter the leagues of Kareena and Suzzane. The only thing that is stopping Abhi from getting a tattoo done, is that he is unable to decide on the design. But the actor is knee on giving his love a fresh touch.
Only time will show us his creativity.
Abhishek Bachchan insecure about Deepika’s ‘item number’???
Recently, buzz had it that Deepika Padukone’s item number in Dum Maaro Dum made Abhishek Bachchan very insecure and so he did everything to convince director Rohan Sippy to have a promotional music video based on his character in the film that of ACP Kammat. And so, ‘Thayn Thayn’ came into picture.
However Abhishek Bachchan puts an end to all these rumours and on the contrary is totally in love with Deepika’s raunchy item number.
Defending the lyrics of the song the actor goes on to say, “We have 1.20 billion people in India and all can’t like the song. But the fact is it’s topping all radio charts and playing everywhere including night clubs, which means the youth have connected and loved the track. It’s doing extremely well and I am very happy with the response that Deepika’s number has got”.

Director Rohan Sippy negates the idea that Abhishek Bachchan’s promotional video Thayn Thayn was incorporated because Deepika Padukone’s item number was overshadowing the lead protagonist.
“We always wanted a song for Abhishek’s character even before we had thought of Deepika’s item number”, clarifies Rohan.
And so, Abhishek’s item song followed Deepika’s.
No Anniversary Celebrations for Ash and Abhi this year….
Work will keep Bollywood’s star couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai busy on their wedding anniversary on April 20th. Abhishek Bachchan has been so busy this year, that he cannot even take a day off to celebrate his fourth wedding anniversary with his gorgeous wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Abhishek will be busy promoting Dum Maaro Dum which is set to release on 22nd April and soon after that, he will be off for a shooting schedule.
Says the actor, “I don’t have a break at all. As soon as Dum Maaro Dum releases, I will be going to Russia for shooting (Abbas-Mustan’s) Players. There’s going to be no break for the anniversary as I am going to be thick in the middle of promotions at that time,”
Last year, the power couple were in the US on their anniversary. The year before that, Ash and Abhi managed to take some time off for themselves from the shooting of Mani Ratnam’s Raavan. On their first anniversary in 2008, Aishwarya had joined Abhishek in Miami as he was shooting for Dostana.
But this year, it all depends on Ash, if she could surprise her hubby as she doesn’t have any projects in hand.

AdEx India, a division of TAM Media Research, recently conducted a study on celebrity brand endorsements for the period of January-December 2010 and found that Abhishek topped the list in the male star category.
Abhishek alone covered 4.7 percent share of ad volume, out of the 41.5 percent film actors hogged on the endorsement circuit today.
“Abhishek Bachchan has taken the ‘Get Idea’ campaign to an all new level. He makes you really sit up and take notice – the intelligent ad needed an intelligent face and that’s exactly what he brings to the table,” a statement said, quoting a marketing expert.

Aishwarya’s 10th consecutive year at Cannes….
Less than a month to go and the world’s most beautiful lady, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen walking the red carpet at the Cannes film festival. This will be her 10th consecutive year at the French Riviera.
“I didn’t realise I was so close to completing a decade till someone pointed out to me last year, that I’d been coming to the fest for nine years. Abhishek wondered if any other celebrity had enjoyed such a long, straight run at Cannes,” said the lovely actress.
In the year 2003, Ash not only became the first Indian actor to be on the Cannes jury, She also became the global brand ambassador of L’Oreal, alongside Andie Macdowell, Eva Longoria and Penelope Cruz.
“People remember the Miss World title even after 17 years. Among my films, the most-watched are Devdas (2002) and Bride & Prejudice (2003),” says Aishwarya, who is all set to make her appearance in Cannes as the L’Oreal’s international face, despite rumours of being replaced.
“It’s been almost a decade-long association with L’Oreal, and a 12-year tenure with Longines. There’s a lot of love there, and when the time comes, I know the parting will be good. For now, the tenure continues,” said Ash.
This year, while Ash is on a break for whatever reasons, Abhishek is busy with shoots. However, Abhi is trying to work out his dates so they can make one more “together” appearance at Cannes.
Ash-Abhi to celebrate World Cup victory with Sachin Tendulkar..
Ever since his long cherished dream of winning the world cup for India came true, Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar is totally in a celebrating mood.
If news is true, Sachin has invited the bigwigs of Bollywood as well, to join him in his celebrations. Well, the news has to be true as Amitabh Bachchan has confirmed on his blog that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have been invited by Sachin.
“I messaged Sachin and Harbhajan on their marvelous victory and true to their spirit they responded, as always. Abhishek and Aishwarya have been invited tonight to a celebration by Sachin. The joyous mood retains its vigor,” Big B wrote on his blog.
The mega star went on to add,
“A prominent author and thinker on a public platform admitted that sport and film were the two most fertile ingredients in bringing a nation together. Nothing could be truer. They always were and shall always be, a unifier!” Big B wrote.
The Bachchan parivar normally avoids watching live cricket matches as they are superstitious that watching the match would lead to India’s defeat. But on the contradictory, they watched the final match on Saturday and India won the world cup. The trio of Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya zoomed on the streets to celebrate the win with aam janta..

4 years of togetherness, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai…
One of the most romantic real life couple Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will celebrate their 4 years of togetherness on 20th April.
Though, the couple has not planned anything for their anniversary yet. Abhishek stated “Dum Maaro Dum will be nearing its release date so its promotion will be in the last stages.”
He said further, “I’ll be traveling across the country. Currently, I don’t know where I’ll be on our wedding anniversary. But Aishwarya will be with me wherever I am.”
He added “In the last three years of our marriage, Aishwarya and I have not exchanged presents on our wedding anniversary. We, instead, believe in celebrating our day by just being together.”
The actor said, “That’s a good enough present, because we’re all leading busy lives. Finding time to spend with our loved ones, partners and parents has become an exercise, and time is the most valuable commodity.”
In the mean time, it’s being said that Abhishek does not need any occasion to gift his father. He recently gifted Amitabh Bachchan an iPad.
The actor turned producer stated “Pa’s really happy with the gift, he’s going through the manual to figure how it works.”
Abhishek’s upcoming films include “Players”, “Dum Maaro Dum”, and “Dhoom 3”. He is also busy with his second production venture “Bbuddah-Hoga Terra Baap”.
Salman snubs Abhishek…
Abhishek Bachchan and Salman Khan had a close miss yeaterday at the Mahboob studios. They had almost come face-to-face.
Jr Bachchan was already present at the venue for shooting a promotion for his upcoming film. On the other hand, Khan Bhai was supposed to shoot on the same floor where AB was shooting.
However, Salman immediately changed his mind and simultaneously his plans on finding out about Abhi’s presence at the venue already. The next thing Sallu did was, waiting in his vanity van and assigned people to inform him when Abhishek left, in order not to bump into his ex-flame’s hubby.
Better safe than sorry and all that jazz…
