Abhishek Bachchan is Abhi’s favorite actor…
Junior AB, thinks himself to be a ‘terribly overrated’ actor in the industry and feels the need for a lot of improvement. Though Abhishek Bachchan has made a place for himself in the industry, he’s still not unaware of the fact that he has a long way to go.
Abhishek Bachchan today described himself as a “terribly overated actor” in the industry and said he has to improve a lot.
“I think I am terribly overrated as an actor. They have given me more due than I deserve. I have a very very long way to go. I have lot of improvement to do” said the Bunty and Babli actor…
Recently, Abhi was in Banglore promoting his upcoming film Game. He was in a very ‘happy-go-lucky’ mood and hence very candidly admitted that he’s an over-rated actor.
Jr Bachchan has been in the film industry for over a decade now. He say, he does not see the new crop of actors as a threat nor is he insecure about anything. Not just that. According to him, he, himself is his favorite actor in Bollywood.
Says the 35-year young actor, “They are so talented, so prepared they are doing great work”. I am not the insecure type. I am very secure about who I am and what I do. So I am happy we got new blood coming to the film fraternity and getting more talent I think they are wonderful”,
He adds, “Me myself” is my favorite actor and jokingly continues, “apart from me I think my father has some potential”.
In Game, Abhishek plays the character of a casino owner who finds himself sucked into a wicked game of deceit, murder and suspense orchestrated by a cunning billionaire (Anupam Kher). The film also introduces newcomer Sarah Jane Dias.

Rani Mukerji isn’t ready to let bygones be bygones.
She recently opened up about what went wrong between Bachchan Jr and her. She addresses the touchy topic where she wasn’t invited for the Abhi-Ash wedding.
“The truth is that if a person chooses not to invite you to their wedding, you realise where you stand with the person. Poor guy has been married for many years, we should all move on. I will always have fond memories of working with him!”
When asked why she and Abhishek look through each other at parties, Rani puts on her witty hat and says, “Do we? Maybe the lighting at the party was bad. I’ve no idea!”

Abhishek turns a rapper once again….
Abhishek Bachchan’s upcoming flick Dum Maaro Dum, will see him turn a rapper for a song. This is not the first time though. Abhi was seen as a rapper six years ago for the song ‘Right Here Right Now’ for director Rohan Sippy’s Bluffmaster.
Abhishek is back home after attending the Oscars in the US with wife Aishwarya Rai.
The Jr Bachchan tweeted, “Back in the studio after 6 yrs with chuck masta Sippy. Have no idea why he’s convinced that I can sing!! But Pritam’s killing it!!!!”
Well, the music for the film is being composed by Pritam.
According to a source, the song is a rap number with a groovy beat.
Abhishek to go shirtless in Dhoom 3… Needs mom’s consent….
Abhishek Bachchan would be taking off his shirt for the first time in Dhoom 3 and that is if all goes well with his mommy dear Jaya Bachchan.. For this, he has met two of the top physical trainers in LA earlier this week.
Says a source, “With the help of these two renowned trainers who have worked on the physique of a number of iconic Hollywood stars Abhishek hopes to build his self-confidence (read: muscles) enough to appear bare-chested on the screen for the first time in Dhoom 3.” There’s just one hitch.
Abhishek’s mom Jaya is strictly against her son appearing bare-chested on screen. Until Abhishek convinces her that it’s fine to do so no amount of muscle-power would persuade him to take the shirtless plunge.
At the moment he’s in LA with with his fingers crossed. Says a source close to Abhishek, “Ash and Abhishek have taken some time off together in LA for various reasons.
Yes, he has met two trainers. They’re flying back to India on Saturday night.”
Ash and Abhi at the Oscars!
Bollywood’s power couple Abhishek Bachchan and his gorgeous wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set to attend the Oscars this Sunday. The couple who is currently in Los Angeles, has been invited by the Academy.
Amitabh Bachchan broke the news first. He writes, “Oh ! And incidentally they were getting fitted at a clothes store, for the Oscars Award ceremony for Sunday – Warren and Abhishek ! Ya , Abhishek and Aishwarya have been invited by the Academy to attend the Oscars on Sunday.”
Director Ashutosh Gowariker is also in LA to attend the Oscars. The director is staying at the same hotel as the Bachchans. They will be dining together over the weekend.
A R Rahman is also going to be there as he is nominated in two categories. We are sure Rahman’s confidence will boot up seeing familar face for Bollywood.
We wonder what Ash and Abhi would be donning on…
Happy Birthday Abhishek…
Abhishek Bachchan turns 35 today.
The actor is presently in New Zealand shooting for director duo Abbas-Mustan’s thriller Players. We hear that wife Aishwarya Rai has been quietly planning a surprise for hubby dear even though he’s oceans away.
She and a bunch of Abhi’s close friends would surprise Abhi on the sets of the film and take him out for some knock-out adventure like bungee jumping and zorbing. Abhishek, being an adventure freak, would surely love the surprise.
Every year on his birthday, Abhishek prefers to work during the day and spend time with family and friends in the evening. This year, the unit of Players plan to take a break and make it a day of fun for Abhi and everyone else around.
Meanwhile, Abhishek has been flooded with congratulatory messages by his fans and followers on Twitter.
“Thank you to my twitter crew!!!!You guys make this birthday extra special. Your love, blessings and faith and most important and dear to me,” Abhishek posted.

Here’s what the Junior B says, “The first time I met Aishwarya was in August 1997 when I was on a recce for my father’s film Mrityudaata in Switzerland and she was shooting for Aur Pyar Ho Gaya with Bobby Deol… I had obviously seen her before, since she was Miss World. I don’t remember the moment when I knew she was the one… it always just felt right. So, there wasn’t just this ‘one’ defining moment, it always felt perfect!”

Abhi-Ash is a Power Couple…
Bollywood’s golden couple Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have been bestowed with the recognition of ‘Power Couple’ by the esteemed Stardust magazine. The mega stars got the title recently at the launch of the latest issue of Stardust in Delhi. Abhishek and Aishwarya graced the occasion as they lifted the veil off to reveal their own photos as the cover page.
You name it, and they have got it all. It’s no wonder that Abhi-Ash do deserve the ‘Power Couple’ title.
Katrina-Abhishek reunite for a comedy flick…
Katrina Kaif did show her potential at doing comedy in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Now, Kats will be seen in another laughathon in director Rajkumar Santoshi next.
Katrina will be paired with Abhishek Bachchan thereby putting to rest all rumours about Katrina being reluctant to work with Junior B. After Sarkar, Katrina was hoping to do an all-out romantic flick with Abhi.
Says Kaif, “I had done one of my earliest films (Sarkar) with Abhishek. And it was great fun. Somehow subsequent projects didn’t work out. I had decided whenever I work with him again, it would be in an out-and-out romantic subject.”
Director Sanoshi penned the script keeping Abhishek in mind. He thinks the actor has a “great comic potential” that still needs to be tapped. This would also be Santoshi’s first film with Abhishek.
Says Santoshi, “In him, I see great-untapped potential and a hunger to excel. There’s a very mischievous side to his personality, which has not been tapped in any film”
The untitled film will be produced by Santoshi and will go on the floors early next year.
Abhishek Makes A Guinness World Record!
AB’s baby Abhishek Bachchan has equalled the Guinness’ world record for maximum public appearances in 12 hours while he promoted his latest film ‘Delhi 6′.
A source reported, “Abhishek’s record-breaking tour of Delhi and neighboring cities began two days later than scheduled, but was packed with record breaker choc-a-block post-release flurry of activities.
Abhishek first visited the EDM Mall in Ghaziabad, Spice at NOIDA, Crown Plaza in Faridabad, Select Citywalk, Ambience Mall and Central Mall in Chandigarh and Shoppers’ Stop in Juhu in Mumbai.
But at precisely 7.35 p.m. Sunday in Chandigarh at the PVR Theatre Central Mall, Tribune Chowk in Sector 29, Abhishek broke the existing Guinness record of German actors Jürgen Vogel and Daniel Brühl in the category of the greatest number of public appearances by a film star at different cities in 12 hours.
Exhausted but exhilarated Abhishek said: “I equalled the existing record at approximately 5 p.m. (Sunday). How do I feel? On top of the world. It always feels good to do something that goes beyond what’s already been done.”
