Salman Khan: I wont let anyone speak badly about Abhishek’s wife
Whoa!! Now that is a very bold statement from Sallu’s mouth. Salman Khan has finally spoken about his ex-love Aishwarya Rai.
Salman said,” I’m very fond of Abhishek. Whatever happened between Ash and me is over. I’m really fond of the Bachchans. Abhishek is a buddy and I really like him. I won’t have anyone speak badly about his wife.”
When quizzed if he would want to work with Aishwarya again he said, “She publicly said she won’t work with me. I’ll never work with her either.”
Well is this just a statement to clean his image or is Salman genuinely concerned about Abhi-Ash?
Abhishek-Aishwarya to turn Ram-Sita
Real life couple, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, is going to play the main lead in the upcoming flick Ramayan. Apparently the producers have roped in comedy ka baadshah Govinda to play the role of superhero Hanuman.
Tamil actor Vikram is slated to play the role of the villain Lord Ravan.
This will be the second time Mani Ratnam will be working with the couple, he worked with them in his successful flick Guru.
The modern Ramayana’s main focus will be on showing the love chemistry between Ram and Sita.

Bachchan parivaar celebrate Rakhi in NY
Bollywood’s big family- The Bachchan’s doesn’t miss out even the tiniest of festivals and Raksha Bandhan is as big and pompous for as Diwali, no wonder sister Shweta Nanda is flying all the way to New York to tie Rakhi to younger brother Abhishek Bachchan.
Bachchan’s who are preparing for their show in New York are eagerly waiting for the daughter of their family, “My daughter comes in to be with us and to see the show, but more importantly to be with her brother on Raksha Bandhan,” says Amitabh Bachchan.
Amitabh praises the wonderful festival, adding, “Such wonderful traditions we possess and what an endearing tradition Rakhi is. It has not necessarily remained genetic. Whenever there has been a strong bond and expression between opposite genders, a bond of wanting to treat the other as your own blood, it has been strengthened by the symbolic tying of the ‘rakhi’ on brother’s wrist. It has generated immense value and compassion. It is wonderful to be able to nurture such emotion and to relate to it for the rest of our lives. The emergences of ‘rakhi brothers and sisters’ have been so unique in our society. And many a times it has worked stronger than the one that has been ordained by birth. Unfortunate, but true.”
Good to see a parivaar who still gives importance to the age-old traditions. 
Abhishek Bachchan promises Aishwarya Rai a baby
Abhishek Bachchan was recently left blushing during the Unforgettable tour press confrence when a journo quizzed wifey Aishwariya Rai whether Abhishek has promised her a baby.
Aishwariya was surprised by the question and Amitabh Bachchan saved her the embarrassment by quoting, “Every husband promises his wife a baby.”
But the Little Bachchan put the icing on the cake when he immediately turned towards his wife and held her hand and said, “I promise”.
The press conference hall burst into laughter at the turn of events.
Well this is called “Saanp bhi marjaye aur laathi bhi na toote”.

It was almost seen as tit for tat by the many not-invited ‘friends’ of Abhi Ash wedding, when only Ash and Abhishek were invited at the Cannes. But this could not bar the Indian beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from showing her love for her parents-in-law. The senior Bachchans probably took it as a technical error, and were present at the Cannes to support their daughter-in-law anyway.Now, this is one family that likes to stick together be it at home or at Cannes (even without an invitation).

Sarkar Raj’s first look was unveiled at the film’s event and the promos are going to be aired really soon. Sarkar Raj is the sequel of RGV’s super hit Sarkar.
As Abhishek says, “The movie shows how Sarkar Subhash Nagre takes a backseat and his son Shankar Nagre takes matters in his hands.”

Apparently the Bachchan khandaan is very upset about the incident, especially hubby Abhishek Bachchan. Abhishek did not want the controversy to blow out of proportion and clearly branded the image as morphed, denying his wife’s presence in it.

Abhishek Bachchan has great expectations from the year 2008, with four releases in the pipeline; Abhishek is surely on cloud nine.
The junior Bachchan said “I am lucky that I am working in a industry in which I can start the year with a film like Sarkar Raj, then go on to Drona, Dilli 6 and finally Dostana. They are all completely different films with different characterisations. Even the genres are different.”
But the most awaited one is Sarkar Raj, where Abhishek stars with his wifey Aishwariya Rai for the first time post marriage. Sarkar Raj also stars Amitabh Bachchan.
Abhishek says about the family drama on the sets, “A family get together happens everyday but it was wonderful that it got extended on to the sets. It was the first time that the three of us were working together and it was a wonderful experience. We have enjoyed it thoroughly.”
Come April, Abhishek and Aishwariya will celebrate their first marriage anniversary. When asked about his experience, Abhishek described it in one word – “beautiful.”
When quizzed, if the absence of Bachchan family at the Filmfare night was coz of the fact that he would not fetch any trophies for Guru, the star said, “It’s not about winning awards. I know it sounds very clichéd but just the fact that at the end of the day if you say Guru was my best performance then that is my real award,”

Aishwariya Rai Bachchan is on cloud nine these days, as she has been signed for a whooping amount of Rs 6 crore opposite Rajnikanth in Shankar’s big budget movie Robot. The amount paid to Ash is said to be the highest ever paid to an Indian actress. Shankar is said to be extremely happy and satisfied with the deal, as he has been guaranteed priority dates by Ash when he starts the shooting in May. Apart from this Ash’s dates will also be available for duration of 18 months on mutually agreed days. Working opposite Superstar Rajnikant has worked wonders for many actresses (recently Shreya).
Aishwariya’s stars are really favouring her these days, especially after her marriage to Abhishek Bachan, he has been extremely lucky for her.

The fans of Hrithik and Aishwariya in Madhya Pradesh can heave a sigh of relief, as Jodha Akbar has been cleared off the ban. The High Court gave the verdict in the favor of UTV Motion Pictures.
Siddhart Roy Kapur, director of UTV Motion Pictures said,”The Madhya Pradesh High Court has ruled in favour of UTV and we are commencing the screening of Jodhaa Akbar immediately across the state. This is a huge boost to all advocates of creative freedom in our country, and we are very grateful to the court for recognizing the validity of our stand and allowing Jodhaa Akbar to resume screenings.”
Director Aushotosh Gowariker was also relieved and happy with the court verdict. He exclaimed, “The film portrays love between two cultures and religions through a marriage of alliance between a Mughal emperor and a Rajput princess. This is an alliance that took place 450 years ago; an alliance that we need to respect, admire and learn from even today. He also adds that a disclaimer had been inserted at the start of the film saying that the film is a work of fiction and it draws from history but at the same time it is not the exact representation of it and there can be other viewpoints.”
