Ayesha Takia was born on 10 April 1986 in Mumbai. Ayesha started modelling at an early age and has appeared in commercials and music videos.

She made her debut in Bollywood with Taarzan: The Wonder Car alongside Vatsal Sheth. She received her first Filmfare as Best Debut Female for Taarzan: The Wonder Car. Over the years Ayesha has appeared in 20 movies, most of which failed to perform well at the box office. She appeared in Dor in 2006 alongside Shreyas Talpade and was awarded as Best Actress Critics Choice by Stardust. Her biggest hit so far has been Wanted, alongside Salman Khan in 2009.

As of 2013 she is working Aap Ke Liye Hum and Mad Dad.
