Most of her films have often been driven by male leads, which generally do not have much for their actresses to do when it comes to performance. Her films last year, Khiladi 786, Bol Bachchan and Housefull 2 were in the same league.

“I have taken a conscious decision about my career. This year I plan to take it little slower. The box office record and 100 crore club, big films, good collection- all that has happened,” she said.

Mentioning about her interest to do more character driven roles, she added “I should move forward and try and do more roles which give me more scope to perform. I think it is the right time in my career to take this decision since it is now that I have the freedom to choose my roles.”

Asin has had a successful innings down south where she was lauded for her performances in distinct roles. It was later on that Asin turned to Bollwood and made a memorable debut with the film, Ghajini and its success drove Asin to establish herself here.

Meanwhile, rumours have been doing the rounds that Asin is avoiding movies so as to tie the knot! However Asin has refuted any such news. Well, not signing films and talking about ‘good’ roles. What’s cooking Asin?

If rumors are to be gone by, Asin is said to be dating a US citizen, and it’s a long distance relationship. Now we know why the actress has been making quite a few trips to the US recently. Insiders claim that she has not signed any films too and the reason could be her “impending marriage”.

Buzz also has it that the actress will be settling down in the US after marriage. The wedding preps are all kept hush hush but is going on on full swing. Also, after marriage, Asin will not quit her filmy career but will take up a film only if she likes the script.

It is heard that Asin wants to stop moving around the male leads in her film and that she wants to do a women oriented role.

Meanwhile, there are even reports of her signing a big project down south, a Tamil flick. This will be biggest project ever.

The first weekend collection of Akshay Kumar’s Khiladi 786 is approximately 32 crore from India, with most of the collections coming in from single screens, Sunday saw an awesome turnout from some multiplexes in Delhi and East Punjab.

As things stand, KHILADI 786, which has quite a reasonable release cost (40-45 crore), for an Akshay Kumar starrer, is all set to be a plus fare for the makers, who are also the worldwide distributors (barring a few sub circuits), though not the big success that it was expected to be.

While still on KHILADI 786, the film has not done well in the overseas, and little chance that it will, given the genre and mountings, the film has another good week till Dec 21, as Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2 releases that day, and once it’s out Akshay’s Khiladi has no chance of doing any business.
