Asin
Asin was born 26 October 1985 in Kochi, Kerela. Born as Asin Thottumkal, the actress can fluently speak seven languages: Malyalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, French, English and Sanskrit. Her first acting project was a television advertisement for BPL Mobile.
Asin made her acting debut in Sathyan Anthikkad’s Malayalam film Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka in 2001 and began a fully fledged acting career in the South Indian film industry. After her Bollywood debut in Ghajini opposite Aamir Khan, Asin now mostly appears in Bollywood movies. Ghajini was the highest grossing Bollywood film of 2008 and sixth highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time. Ghajini got her her first Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Asin next appeared in Vipul Shah’s London Dreams alongside Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn, a moderately successful movie.
Her next movie alongside Salman Khan, Ready, was a huge hit. In 2012, Asin was paired with Akshay Kumar in Sajid Khan’s Housefull 2 and in July 2012, Asin acted in Rohit Shetty’s Bol Bachchan alongside Abhishek Bachchan. Her role was widely appreciated by the critics. In 2012 December, Asin acted in Khiladi 786, in which she reunited with her Housefull 2 co-star, Akshay Kumar.
As of 2013 Asin has appeared in over 24 movies in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil languages.
