Amrita Arora was born on 31 January 1981 in Chembur, Mumbai. She made her debut in Bollywood as an actress in Kitne Door Kitne Pass alongside Fardeen Khan in 2002. The movie did not perform well at the box office and since then she has starred in a string of flop movies which include Awara Pagal Deewana, Speed, Girlfriend and Red: The Dark Side. In 2009 she appeared as a supporting actress in Kambakth Ishq starring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor.
Amrita Arora is married to businessman Shakeel Ladakh and they have two sons together. Amrita Arora’s elder sister is Malaika Arora Khan.
