She has one sister Shaheen Bhatt, a half sister Pooja Bhatt, and a half brother Rahul Bhatt. Actor Emraan Hashmi and director Mohit Suri are her cousins and producer Mukesh Bhatt is her uncle.
Alia Bhatt completed high-school from Jamnabai Narsee School IB in May 2011. She was seen in Sangharsh, as a child artist, where she had played the role of younger Priety Zinta. Her role of Shanaya in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year was critically acclaimed and the audiences loved her. Her character was compared with Kareena Kapoor’s character from the movie Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham.
