The actor has been watching a lot of Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff films like Mashaal and Ram Lakhan to get under the skin of his character and to understand the old-school mannerisms and styling of characters that belong to that era.

Says Imran Khan, “Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again is a period film..So the characters had to fit in correctly…I watched a lot of films from the 80’s,including the ones with Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff in them to understand how things were back then”.

Balaji Motion Pictures’ Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again starring Akshay Kumar,Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha is scheduled to release August 8^th2013.

Co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, “Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2″ is a sequel to the 2010 movie “Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai” and also stars Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Sonali Bendre in lead roles.

“We have been shooting 12-hour shifts every day, all month, without a single off. As a result, I have had to bring my trainer on the set to work out in between shots. We have also built a space for dance rehearsals,” Imran said in a statement.

Imran is also shooting for “Gori Tere Pyaar Mein”.

Apart from the usual cast of the film, the music launch saw a huge number of A-listers joining the celebrations of the party. Sunny Deol organised a special song ‘Main aida hi nachna’ in the memory of his father. actor Dharmendra who danced on the song said that he is the no.1 dancer in Bollywood. He also said that he was touched by the generosity of his colleagues who took time from their busy schedules and decided to attend the function.

The music launch of “Yamla Pagla Deewana 2″ Tuesday was a starry affair, with Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Hritik Roshan, Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D’Souza, Rakesh Roshan, Kunal Kohli, and Juhi Chawla making the occasion extra special with their presence.

In lighter vein, Dharmendra said: “I have always wanted to say this and today everyone is there including the media. I want to say that I am the no. 1 dancer. My son Sunny has planned a special song for me, ‘Main aida hi nachna’.”

Dharmendra was very thankful to the film industry for always being there to support him.

“I am so happy for the love and respect which they give me. They all meet me so nicely.

“Today, whatever I am is because of their love. I wish them all the best and a long life. They should have good films and success should come to them,” said the veteran actor.

Directed by Sangeeth Sivan, “Yamla Pagla Deewana 2″ stars Dharmendra, Bobby Deol, Sunny Deol, Neha Sharma, Kristina Akheeva. The film is all set to release June 7.

Says a source, “While shooting Rowdy Rathore the team had decided to reunite for another Tamil remake. Ramana rights had been purchased by Sanjay Bhansali. And Prabhu was on board in principle. But then after Rowdy Rathore, he got exceedingly busy as a director with Ramaiya Vastavaiya, the film launching newcomer Girish Taurani followed by Rambo Rajkumar. After that Prabhu immediately goes into his film with Ajay Devgn.”  

Infact, there was a choice for Prabhu Deva between directing Akshay Kumar in the Ramana remake and Devgn in an untitled original film. Eventually Prabhu decided not to direct remakes of South Indian films.

Says Prabhu sorrowfully, “They asked me to do this film. I’d have loved to. It would have been a new experience for me. So far I’ve only directed out-and-out entertainers. Ramana has strong social message. I’m at the moment completing Ramaiya Vastavaiya and Rambo Rajkumar. Both original scripts. In July, I start my film with Ajay Devgn and that too is an original script. Moreover isn’t it good to work with new actors and a new team constantly? Repetition makes you stagnant.” 

We also hear reports that Ajay Devgn had made it very clear that he wants Prabhu Deva to make a full-on action entertainer. “My films also serve a social purpose. They’re designed to be stress-busters. They make audiences forget their worries. Ajay Devgn’s  film too is a complete masala script, guaranteed to make everybody forget their worries,” promises Prabhu Dheva.
