Aishwarya Rai known as one of the most beautiful woman in the world was born on 1st November 1973. Aishwarya began her career as a fashion and advertising model and has appeared in over 40 movies in different language. Her first modelling assignment was given to her by Camlin pencils while she was still in school.
Aishwarya Rai started her full fledged career as a model only after she completed her education. She went ahead as a model and won the Miss India and Miss World pageant titles in 1994 and later made her debut as an actor in Mani Ratnam’s Tamil movie, Iruvar in 1997. Her first commercial success was Jeans. However, she became popular with Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. She has won two Filmfare awards for best actress and has been nominated over 11 times.
Aishwarya Rai is the first Indian actress to be selected as a member of the Jury at the Cannes International Film Festival. She also happens to be the first Bollywood star to appear in Rolling Stone magazine. After her interview on 60 Minutes, Aishawarya was invited to be a part of Oprah Winfrey Show, which again made her the first Indian actress to appear on Oprah. In October 2004 a wax figure of Aishwarya was put on display in London’s Madame Tussaud’s wax museum.
Her personal life hit rock bottom when she ended her turbulent relationship with Salman Khan. Post the end of her relationship with Salman Khan, she refused to do any movie with the actor. She moved on with her life and later started dating Vivek Oberoi. The relationship eventually ended and the green eyed beauty later married Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan in 2007. They have a daughter together, Aaradhya Bachchan who is often referred to as Beti B.
