Glad With Gladiators

All The B-Town Divas Who Rocked The Gladiator Look

There’s no doubt that Bollywood divas are obsessed with shoes. Be it six inch high stilettos or just simple flip flops, they show it off with style. The latest trend to hit the shoe market is the knee high gladiators or even the thigh high gladiators. Be it for a song, promotional event or a casual airport spotting B-Town divas have made their unique style statements with flashing gladiators.

BC deconstructs the trend. Read on.

Alia Bhatt

Just like senior Kareena Kapoor, junior Kareena Kapoor aka Alia Bhatt is obsessed with fashion. She loves experimenting with her style and we must say her experiments do pay off really well! Even when she sported Stuart Weitzman knee high, shinning metal gladiator sandals teamed with Khakhi shorts and olive shirt, she made many heads turn. She was just being casual but her gladiators deserved a second look. She even flashed these gladiators at a promotional event of Humty Sharma Ki Dulhania paired with a short dress. She looked stunning in both the attires, don’t you think?

 Sonakshi Sinha

Talking about the gladiators, Dabangg girl of Bollywood Sonakshi Sinha flashed her thigh high gold gladiators teamed with a short shirt dress and a simple side ponytail. Though this look is not one of the best looks of Sonakshi, but her gladiators did make us drool. According to the reports, her gladiators were custom made by Fermah. Gladiators did seem a bit too tight for her but if made with perfect fitting then these gladiators are worth a shot!

Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut never failed to impress us with her wicked sense of style. And well even at the Tanu Weds Manu Returns promotional events we got the glimpse of Kangana’s unusual styling. We were quiet surprised when Kangana paired her simple white Pero dress with knee high flat gladiators. Though the nude gladiators by Zara didn’t do justice to enhance her subtle white Russian style dress, but the actress carried the look with such finesse. And that’s what Kangana is known for, right? Her flat gladiators seemed classy and comfortable at the same time.

 Malaika Arora Khan

Yummy mummy Malaika Arora’s Instagram page went buzzing with her recent Holiday pictures to Europe. But the picture that caught our attention was the one where she is seen posing outside the Leaning tower of Pisa. Malaika looks absolutely stunning in white shorts, white tee and those, jaw dropping knee high black gladiator sandals. This look is a must for every traveler.

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra made everyone dance to her tunes with her single Exotic FT. Pitbull but we wonder how PC managed to shake her leg in those high heel knee length gladiators. Priyanka’s shimmering Jovani dress look was completed by knee high Altuzarra cage gladiator boots and she looked ravishing. Her attire was good but her cage gladiators stole the show. Undoubtedly, her gladiators make it to the top in the list of most favorite and wanted gladiators.

Katrina Kaif

Katrina kaif

Katrina Kaif is yet another actress who burned the floor wearing high heel gladiators in Dhoom 3. In the title track of the film, Katrina sizzled in gold gladiators designed by Tom Ford. Her gladiators did full justice to her dress designed by Anita Shroff Adjania. Though these gladiators look a little uncomfortable but if you wish to be the showstopper at any sizzling party then these gladiators are just perfect.

Bipasha Basu

Bipasha Basu reveals yet another advantage of wearing high length gladiators – they act as ankle braces to support your injured ankle. Bipasha, at a Diwali bash chose to sport high length flat gladiators to support her injured ankle. Her grey spaghetti dress was a complete disaster but her black gladiators looked fine. She barely managed to pull off her gladiator look.
