Celeb Tracking At The India Couture Week

All The B-Town Stars Who Shimmered On The Ramp At The Amazon India Couture Week 2015

Our couture weeks are nothing but mere showcases for stars to play coy brides, bold showstoppers and real life glamazons. That’s why we love looking for them at shows, spotting them at front rows and making sure we follow their style to the T. Every bride wants to look great at her own wedding. Lots of inspiration, of course! And who is giving it to them? Our stars! A look at the seven top stars on the Couture ramp today – so swish, so chic and so different from each other.

Aishwarya Rai For Manish Malhotra

Aishwarya

Trust Manish to get nothing but the most beautiful woman to walk the ramp on his show. It was a finale no one really anticipated and Ash just emerged from the backstage looking resplendent in a Manish plum zardosi cocktail gown with a cute sequinned shrug. It was a rather plain look until Ms.Rai added all the jazz and frills to it. Her personality alone made it rock – plus, we loved how she wore her makeup – very light and very minimal and her hair in vintage curls. So nostalgic and very magical. The no accessory look really worked with her.

Kangana Ranut For Manav Gangwani

Kangana

Another day, another star and another plum/purple outfit that blew our minds away!  This beautiful french lace entered Manav Gangwani cocktail dress with ample cleavage and lots of sass is what separated the girls from the badass women – and no one does that look better than Kangana.  The makeup once again was girl-next-door and the hair was tied up in a side-swept. There were no jewellery involved but the personality of the star said it all – no nonsense!
Shilpa Shetty In Rimple & Harpreet Narula

Shilpa

Sexy sexy, sexy – three words that were used to describe the gold lehenga by Rimple & Harpreet Narula by Shilpa Shetty. It’s always a treat to watch Shilpa – she maintains her body to Victoria model standards and almost always wears a look that screams hot. This time too, she chose a gold lehenga with a bikini blouse – one that really is not for the faint-hearted. But Shilpa carried it off nonchalantly without any hassles – with her trademark jadau necklace set and her signature engagement ring rock. Though we had a tiny pet peeve – her hair almost always remains the same through the years: blow-dried and bouncy. Time to change, Shilpa.
Chitrangada Singh For Debarun

Chitrangada

It took us a while to even remember Chitrangada – no no, we don’t mean to be mean. But the damsel has clearly not been in the limelight for a while considering she’s got a great body to boot and oodles of talent. At the Debarun show, where he showcased Bollywood style through the ages – Chitrangada kept her sultry looks intact and wore the most beautiful lehenga-choli with a floral embroidered net dupatta. Sheer and fabulous. The two-toned dupatta and the red lips only added to the glam. Love it!

Aditi Rao Hydari For Debarun

Aditi-Rao-Hyderi

This one was one helluva surprising look – a grey-ish sari worn with a crystal diamante blouse with sheer sleeves, hair worn like a yesteryear star and lots of never-ending pouts. This is none other than Aditi who portrayed a 1950s star in Debarun’s second segment this year. The look was quite old-school and effortless – plus, aditi looked every bit the star from those black & white films. So flapper in a way and so blingy. Love!

Kirti Sanon For Monisha Jaising

Kirthi

Say hello to the new bohemian hipster bride at Monisha Jaising. One that came with multiple tattoos, a pair of spikey converse sneakers and a tank top to boot. Times they are a changing when it comes to weddings and bridal requirements and who is the spokeswoman for it? The effervescent and stylish Kirti Sanon of course! She wore the grey tank on an embellished lehenga and punched it up with a strong jadau / polki necklace. We loved her attitude and her badass tattoos – but mostly, we loved the bride who wore those pair of sneakers. Pretty elopement-friendly, don’t you think?

Richa Chadda For Reynu Tandon

Richa-Chadda

It was all about persian influences and persian embroideries for Reynu Tandon this season and no one reallya nticipated Richa Chadda to play the ideal Persian bride. But well, she did and she used it as a crutch to tell the world she’s a star in her own right and a fashionista who is not just a clotheshorse. Her look was rather demure – an odd juxtaposition to the personality that we see in public – a rather boisterous woman. But that’s the beauty of a passa, a beautiful nose-ring and an interesting wine-coloured lehenga – they add heritage and royalty to your look. And Richa Chadda did justice to that look by just being another version of herself! Win-win!
