We’re ranking the top five fashion magazine covers of this month – from the unexpected (we’re looking at you, Mrs. Funny Bones) to the zany (Ranveer, takes this title) and celebrating brilliant style and fashion.
Twinkle Khanna for Elle
Mrs. Funny Bones is back! After a debacle of a film career, Twinkle has found fame as a writer with her witty articles. From talking about Akki (Man of the house), her two kids to the bai and the people she interacts with daily, Twinkle manages to strike a chord with just about anyone who reads her article. We were pleasantly surprised (ok, ecstatic) to see Twinkle as the cover star for Elle India. She looks stunning in her pastel ensemble, messy lob (long bob) and defining makeup. She’s wearing a blush pink knit cotton bodysuit by Bottega Veneta and a canvas kimono and a mesh jacket by Kenzo. She’s topped it up with jewellery by Nirav Modi.
Jacqueline Fernandez for Vogue India
Jacqueline looks über hot in a sheer panelled plunge neck Zuhair Murad gown enhancing her killer curves. Her makeup was kept dewy and special emphasis were put on her high cheekbones which were contoured and enhanced. A red pout, bronze smokey eyes, retro side-swept soft waves completed her look. We love the fact that they went sans jewellery with this glam look!
Shruti Haasan for FHM
Bringing monochrome back – Shruti Haasan gives us two distinct looks in one kick-ass cover. Playing yin and yang, she looks like the hottie next door in her white ensemble and the rebel you would never want to face in her black fierce outfit. Her crop top and skirt is by Demi by Gabriella, her three toned heels are by Christian Louboutins and her accessories are by Accessorize. Her makeup is soft and nude and her hair has been kept in soft waves. This whole look personifies minimalism. Her black ensemble look is in complete contrast to the white one. Here, her look is edgy and fierce with oxblood lips, dark smokey eyes, black eyeliner and loads of mascara which give her that brooding bad girl look. She’s wearing a leather knit corset and wrist cuff by The V Renaissance, Bra by La Senza, Pants by Zara and heels by Christian Louboutin. We like the badass Shruti more! What do you think?
Ranveer Singh for Filmfare
When it comes to wacky, quirky and zany, only one name comes to mind and that is Ranveer SIngh. His latest cover for Filmfare exemplifies that and they used the perfect words to describe him. Wearing a funky shirt by Masaba, chinos by Brooks Bros and sneakers by Adidas, Ranveer looks like a true cover star. Relaxed, comfortable and oh-so himself Ranveer’s look was topped off with a yellow fedora and yellow sunnies. Ranveer please don’t ever shave; we have the biggest crush on you like this.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Salman Khan for Filmfare
Since Filmfare is a bi-weekly magazine, we’ve got two fab covers this month. There was no way we could leave this spectacular pair out. Promoting their latest film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the bhaijaan and Bebo look like a million bucks. Bebo is wearing a black cutout gown by Demi by Gabriella, she’s not sporting any accessories except her marriage rock! Rocking black smokey eyes, a nude lip and contouring on the nose, cheeks and jawline, Bebo’s ensemble is completed with a side-swept wet hair look. We think she looks stunning here.
