Paresh Rawal’s film on Modi to start in February 2015

Last year, there were reports about a biopic being made on the life of the former Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi. The movie was announced with Paresh Rawal essaying the role of the political leader due to his physical similarities while some suggested Vivek Oberoi was considered to play the young Modi in the same biopic. The biopic was supposed to be produced by Mitesh Kumar Patel – a Gujarati NRI businessman and Rupesh Paul (Kamasutra 3D director).

Later, reports also stated that Rawal had some issues with the makers of the biopic who were considering theatre and film actor Chandraprakash Dwivedi to play Modi and eventually resulted to Paresh’s exit from the film. Now, the latest we hear is that the actor-producer, Rawal, is all set to start his ambitious venture modeled on the life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will also produce the film.

Paresh informs, “I’m glad that the script of the film is finally taking shape. Almost 70 percent of the script has been locked. Once it’s locked, we will start shooting the film. Hopefully, we will start shooting the film from February 2015 onwards. We will announce the details of the film once everything is finalized.”

We hope the versatile actor starts shooting the biopic soon as we are sure it will be one of the most interesting projects to look forward to next year.
