Shah Rukh Khan, who started his career with Television 25 years ago with ‘Fauji,’ has returned to the medium … this time as a host. The star has had intermittent trysts with TV thanks to ‘Kaun Banega Karodpati’ (which he took over from Amitabh for one season), ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?’ and ‘Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout.’
Shah Rukh’s latest show is called ‘Got Talent World Stage Live’ and will be aired on Colors and feature 10 talents each from India and the international arena. The show will premiere in December and will be telecast across the world.
Turning modest for once, the megastar said at the launch of the show, “I feel a host is as good as the show content is and this show is bigger than the host. It will be great for us Indians to watch worldwide talent come here to perform. Performing is a pure act of passion and love. I feel talent has no competition.”
Charting the growth of his talent, SRK walked down memory lane, “The day I don’t hear ‘Roll-Camera-Action’ will be a very sad day for me. I try to work harder every day so that I can continue working. The day you feel you have done everything, it’s the end. I still get nervous doing my first scene for every film.”
Asked about Salman Khan, the star pleaded, “It’s an old question … I am bored now. We have hugged each other and we are friends.”
But when the host of the event, Mini Mathur asked Shah Rukh if he wanted to show his hidden talent under his belt which was not known to the people yet, he referenced the recently released poster of PK which features a nude Aamir holding a radio strategically. He quipped. “Now it’s getting vulgar…show the world what you have under the belt (laughs) … mujhe aisa laga PK ke poster ki baat kar rahe hai hum.”
