Guess what? Lunchbox actress Nimrat Kaur is all set to play a tough and super cool ISI agent in the fourth season of the Golden Globe and Emmy award-winning US TV series, ‘Homeland’. The gorgeous actress is presently shooting for the series in Cape Town.
So how did Nimrat bag the role?
The actress says, it’s all about being at the right place at the right time. Nimrat was in Slovenia attending a film festival, while the auditions for the show were being held in London. Post film fest, Nimrat visited London on some personal work, when little did she know that her agent in London had already fixed that audition for her. Post auditions, the casting director walked up to Nimrat and told her that he loved her performance and was hoping that the studio liked it too, and that she may have to block her dates. And BAM! Here she is with a meaty role in her kitty.
Nimrat plays a Pakistani ISI agent, named Tasneem Qureshi, who is sensuous, mysterious and enigmatic. She’s a tough cookie and is extremely cool in her attitude. Revealing further about role in the series, Nimrat says, she has been asked to shoot for seven episodes but there are chances for it to extend till nine episodes. The actress is having a blast shooting for the espionage thriller.
Interestingly, Nimrat has never watched the show before.
