And now all of a sudden singing has becoming a new rage among Bollywood actors. There was a time, not so long ago, when an actor’s boundary was strictly acting and singing was left to the professional vocalists. However, Bollywood actors have decided to explore new fields and here we have a host of actors who have taken up singing.
Singing for their own film, either officially in the film or doing a cover, is what actors prefer. From newbies to established actors, everyone seems to have developed a liking towards this.
Social media and all networking sites couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful Alia Bhatt sounded when she hummed a couple of lines of the song Sooha Saaha from the film Highway. Just when this whole thing began settling down, out came Shraddha Kapoor with her brilliant unplugged version of Galliyan from Ek Villain. Her soulful voice surely impressed the masses. Recently, Alia Bhatt once again went on to do an unplugged version of the famous song Samjhawaan from the filmHumpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya.
The biggest surprise was when Salman Khan lent his voice for the romantic number Hangover. Oh boy, was he good or what! While Salman’s voice ca mostly be associated to some kind of tapori music, he proved his mettle by singing so well in this number.
Earlier we had actors like Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar etc sing for a song in their films. This wasn’t much trending back in those days. Today’s scene is totally different.
We wonders what’s up with Bollywood actors taking a sudden liking for singing. We love it, no doubt! But maybe an overdose of Bollywood actors singing in their films might leave us with an uneasy feeling. Just maybe.
