Remember that adorable little boy in the film Masoom? The kid who’s smile could melt anyone’s heart! Okay, if not that well do you remember that cute guy in the film Mohabbatein who was soft spoken, calm, composed and had a heart of gold? Yes, it is Jugal Hansraj we are talking about.
He began his career in the year 1983 with the film Massom and shared screen space with actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi and the gorgeous Urmila Matondkar, who played the role of his sister.
After that film, Jugal got his next big break with the film Mohabbatein. This film can be considered his biggest film so far. His character was appreciated and Jugal seemed to be a promising actor in Bollywood. But sadly, that wasn’t the case.
Post Mohabbatein, Jugal never got to essay a fully fledged role in any film. He has only done notable cameos in films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Salaam Namastey and Aaja Nachle.
Jugal Hansraj was the writer and director for Bollywood’s first animated feature film Roadside Romeo which didn’t really do great in India but was a success overseas. He then went on to direct another film titled Pyaar Impossible, which was also under the YRF banner like the previous film.
What remains as a feather in Jugal’s cap is suggesting the tune of the super hit song Kuch Kuch Hota Hain to his close friend Karan Johar, way back in the 90s. The song went on to be a massive hit.
Bollywood Celebden wishes Jugal Hansraj a very happy birthday and success in all his endeavors.
