A handsome lad falls in love with a dreamy girl and then tries everything possible to woo her, win her over and take her home. Humpty Sharma will take his dulhania home!!
Here is Karan Johar’s Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania Movie Review:
Kavya (Alia Bhatt) comes to Delhi from Ambala for her wedding shopping. Here she meets Humpty (Varun Dhawan) and after a long period of yes-yes, no-no and running around they fall in love. Back home Kavya has a tough time trying to confess to her parents that she is in love with Humpty and not with the NRI guy arranged for her by her strict daddy. Humpty then goes to Ambala to win his dulhania.
The story has been inspired by the most romantic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Of course, that is undoubtedly the best but hey, HSKD doesn’t fail to impress at all.
Firstly, we have the hot and charming Varun Dhawan. His comic sense totally deserves an applaud. And why not, it runs in the family!
Then we have the cute Alia Bhatt. A special mention to her acting skills that have drastically improved since her first film. She is a heart winner, quite effortlessly.
Siddharth Shukla plays the third person in this happy love story. This is his debut and he does look quite a stud! Acting isn’t that great though.
Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania is fresh and entertaining. Every bit of the film is new although the concept has been borrowed. We do not have a Shahrukh- Kajol but we do have Varun- Alia who’s chemistry is smoking hot.
Director Shashank Khaitan, new to this business, has very cleverly taken over the plot, maintaining the essence of DDLJ but adding newness to the film.
Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania is a film worth watching for the lead actors, their chemistry, some crazy songs and entertainment that is promised from the start till the end.
