Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur glowed at an iftaar party hosted by Yashraj for their new film, Daawat-e-Ishq. Directed by Habib ‘Ishaqzaade’ Faisal, Daawat-e-Ishq is based on food but leading lady Parineeti quickly confessed to possessing very little by way of cooking ability.
“I only know how to eat,” the actress quipped with typical energy. “I have no idea about cooking. But I am a typical Punjabi — a complete foodie. During the Daawat-e-Ishq shoot, I couldn’t stop hogging because the food was yummy… I loved the Lucknowi biryani.”
This is the second time Parineeti is associated with director Habib Faisal after Ishaqzaade and she raved, “I felt proud that he offered me another film. It was fantastic to associate with Habib once again. I understand him better now. This is a very fun-filled film; and while we had our fun during shooting, Habib also knows what exactly he wants from his actors.”
And the actress is up for challenges. Parineeti speaks in Dakkani Hindi (Hyderabadi Hindi) in the film which she said was “very difficult for me because my accent is very Punjabi.” She would also, like her contemporaries Alia and Shraddha, want to lend her singing voice to a film. But she bemoaned: “I want to sing par mujhe koi chance nahin deta …. I am waiting.”
