Bhabha Bungalow controversy takes new turns

Representing the cultural fraternity of Mumbai, Anil Dharker, Shayam Benegal, Gerson da Cunha, Alyque Padamsee, Kunal Kapoor and Dilip Tahil came together and organized a conference explaining their stand on ‘The Bhabha Bungalow Controversy,’ with BARC Employees trying to make it into a ‘Homi Bhabha Museum’. They also wrote to the Government of Maharashtra and the Central Government requesting to stay away from the move. The bungalow was gifted by Late Jamshed Bhaba, Homi Bhabha’s brother to NCPA through a ‘Will’ and NCPA recently auctioned it for a sum of Rs 372 crore while BARC Employees approached the court and also asking the State and Central governments to convert the bungalow as a museum.
