If stupidity has a face, it has got to be Sajid Khan. We are surprised at how little he thinks of his audience each time he makes a film. As if Himmatwala wasn’t horrible enough, Sajid’s baby project Humshakals is worse.
Here is Sajid Khan’s Humshakals movie review:
We have Ashok Singhania (Saif Ali Khan), heir of a millionaire or something and is very close to his best buddy Kumar (Riteish Deshmukh). And bad uncle Kans (Ram Kapoor) wants all the property. So he manages to get two look alikes of Ashok and Kumar from the mental Asylum and then begins the biggest torture of your life.
The films goes from worse to worse right in the very first scene. There is unnecessary drama, irritating actors, pathetic jokes and disgusting scenes. We have three sets of idiots aimlessly walking around here and there in the film and giving you a real bad headache. Wait, heart ache!
Saif Ali Khan just does not fit in this picture. Comedy is not his cup of tea and he is unbearably idiotic. Riteish is fine. At least he has some sense of comic timing. Ram Kapoor is there just for the heck of it. Then we have Satish Shah playing the role of a sadistic asylum warden, torturing the inmates. Also, there is Chunkey Pandey. Isn’t he always there in Sajid Khan’s films to annoy you?
We also have three gorgeous but almost blonde heroines in the film who have very little to do all through. They just wear tiny skirts and hot dresses and walk around. Also, there is a particular part of the film you will get disgusted watching. The three actors romance the lady versions of themselves. Eww!!
Sajid Khan has done a horrendous job and this film is outright ridiculous.
