The gorgeous mommy Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary today. We take you back in time to when the couple first met, fell in love and their journey to being proud parents to a baby girl, Araadhya.
When love happened!
Ash and Abhi came together for a couple of film and were just good friends till Guru happened in 2007, when their romance was at its peak.
Abhishek would often have visions of him getting married to Ash, in his hotel balcony. And guess what? When the duo traveled together to NYC for the premiere of Guru, Abhi proposed to his lady-love at the same hotel balcony. The couple got married in a private ceremony at the Bachchan’s bungalow Prateeksha on 20th April 2007.
Arrival of their princess
On November 16, 2011, the couple welcomed their first baby Aaradhya. Back then, the media went crazy just to get a glimpse of the little baby. Even today, every time Aaradhya steps out, she grabs all eyes.
Abhishek, Ash’s biggest support
When critics are attacked Ash’s weighty issues left, right and center and have even compared her to the likes of Victoria Beckham and Angelina Jolie who have bounced back to shape post pregnancy, Abhishek came out in the open and shut all wagging tongues. He said, “I just think it’s extremely insensitive and no one has the liberty to speak about her like the way they sometimes do,” he said. “Yes, she’s a public figure, but people forget she’s also a woman and now a mother and there’s a line that’s not to be crossed.”
Abhi and Ash to make a comeback together
There have been reports that Abhishek and Aishwarya are likely to reunite onscreen in Prahlad Kakkar‘s Happy Anniversary.
We wish the lovely couple a happy wedding anniversary and many more years of marital bliss.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, who celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary Sunday, took to Twitter to thank fans, friends and family. “Thank you all so very much for all the anniversary wishes. Truly touched. Big love, Aishwarya and Abhishek,” the junior Bachchan posted on his Twitter page.
