Bollywood actor Rajkumar Rao, who was last seen in ‘Queen’ is all set o team up with his ‘Shahid’ director Hansal Mehta for ‘City Lights’. The actor says, the role that he would be essaying in his upcoming flick is the toughest so far. For those unaware, ‘City Lights’ is an official adaptation of ‘Metro Manila’, Britain’s entry to the Oscars this year.
“‘City Lights’ is a very beautiful film. It’s my toughest role so far. I recently finished the shooting. It’s about a couple who comes to Mumbai from Rajasthan for a better life. They face various difficulties in the city and their love story turns into a thrilling experience,” Rajkumar told reporters.
Talking about his small role in Queen, Rajkummar says, his character in the film was equally important and so he wasn’t apprehensive while taking it up.
Meanwhile, City Lights is directed by Mehta and produced by Mahesh Bhatt. The film will hit theaters on May 1. It stars newcomer Patraleka opposite Rajkumar.
