MOVIE REVIEWS

Gulaab-Gang-and-Queen
Gulaab Gang: Juhi’s evil wins over Madhuri’s good
Gulaab Gang is a female centric film which sees Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla starring together for the first time. The two play the positive and negative lead roles respectively; though Juhi’s villain seems to have a bigger impact that Madhuri’s heroine. The real life rivals playing reel life rivals is an interesting thing to watch. Read the complete review here.
Total Siyapaa: This movie lacks both; Comedy and Romance!
Total Siyapaa directed by E Niwas and written by Neeraj Pandey stars Ali Zafar, Yami Gautam and Kirron Kher in lead roles. The makers made the movie very apt for the title which they gave, it’s a completely chaotic plot with very few comic punches that will leave you in splits. What left us disappointing is that the movie has some really good moments but it fails to sustain it till the very end. We felt that the movie was much better in the second half, but overall, the movie falls flat when it comes to the masala quotient and probably this is one reason why you might walk away from the movie. Queen: Kangana Ranaut has outdone herself
The message that the director Vikas Bahl was trying to convey to all Indian women is clear. He wants to tell every woman that no matter how bad things get, she can always emerge victorious. The way she does it and the terms that she will demand are specific to her but a woman definitely has the capability to stand up for herself and fight for herself. The bag snatching scene clearly shows what a woman can do once she is determined to do something. Read the complete review here.

womans day
They are smart and sassy, successful and powerful, and today they are walking shoulder to shoulder with men, Well, we are talking about today’s women, and who better than our Bollywood ladies would suit this topic perfectly… At the Oscars this year, Cate Blanchett, who won the Best Actress award for Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine, in her acceptance speech said, “I want to thank our producers for so bravely and intelligently distributing the film and to the audiences, who went to see it, and perhaps those of us in the industry, who are still foolishly clinging to the idea that female films with women at the center are niche experiences. They are not. Audiences want to see them and, in fact, they earn money. The world is round, people.” Well, this is so true in Bollywood too. Gone are those days when female centric films were not known to anyone.
