Subhash Ghai, whose ambitious project Kaanchi is being released on April 25th, says he is very excited about the film’s release.
“Finally, the shoot of my most laborious film Kaanchi is over and all set to release on April 25 and what’s best is I’m really excited about the film,” he tweeted.
The film is about the inner power of a woman who represents the millions who are suppressed against the injustice in the country. When asked if the release date of the film was meant to coincide with the Lok Sabha elections, he says “I wanted to release the film in December, but as a director I take my own time to complete the film. I never make a film with the release date as the target. It is just a coincidence that it is releasing during elections.”
The film-maker who gave us classic cult hits like Karz, Ram Lakhan, Pardes, Taal; is popularly called as the showman of Bollywood. When asked about the title, he says “I still don’t know why people call me showman, but I see a showman in every second person I meet in the industry and I am happy about it.”
