Vikram Singh, who is directing the upcoming film Roy starring Jacqueline Fernandez, reportedly contemplated replacing her in the film. Singh reportedly flew down to Sri Lanka, where Jacqueline is shooting for Bombay Velvet and spoke about the fate of the film, which has been getting delayed because of various issues.
A source said the director wanted to replace Jacqueline because of date clash with Kick. “Ranbir has to shoot for around 20 days for Roy. He had allotted the dates to Vikram, and they were in sync with Jacqueline’s. But Kick‘s schedule has gone haywire and is now eating into these dates. That created some amount of panic since it’s not easy getting RK’s dates,” said the source.
Luckily for the actress, Vikram, has decided to wait till Salman’s schedule with Jacqueline, that is currently underway, is finished, before shooting with her. “But Salman is a moody star and there’s a possibility that Roy will have to wait till June for Jacqueline. That’s cutting it a little too fine since the film’s release is scheduled for September,” added the source.
When approached, all that Vikram said was “Jacqueline will be a part of the film. I’m having a meeting with Kick‘s producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala and I’m sure we will sort this out amicably.”
