Bollywood’s evergreen diva, Madhuri Dixit who will be seen in the movie ‘Gulaab Gang‘ said today that almost 75 percent of the women in India, including those in Gujarat, are pretty much unaware about their empowerment.
The 46-year-old actress said that her role in ‘Gulaab Gang‘ creates awareness amongst them.
“I enjoyed working with Juhi Chawla who is a good artiste. The movie has received a good response from everywhere. The Censor Board and critics have loved the movie,” she told reporters.
When asked about are her future plans, she said that she would prefer to act only if she gets good scripts.
“However, at present my focus is on this movie after which I will appear in the ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’ show on television,” she said.
Meanwhile, the actress also told that unlike how many other Bollywood celebrities had struggled to get their first movie role, she got her first offer from the convenience of her home!
“I have never struggled for anything in my life because I never thought I will be an actress. Film just walked up to my house with ‘Abodh’. We met them (the makers), then my family decided that I will do just one film,” Madhuri told IANS and added that her family used to run away from movies.
