Madhuri Dixit, who plays a women’s rights activist in the upcoming film Gulaab Gang, says she has never thought about joining politics.
“I have not thought about it. In any case, polling is secret and let my views also remain secret,” Madhuri told reporters at a promotional event for the film; when she was asked if any political party approached her to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Madhuri, who plays the fiery woman Rajjo in the film, is seen slapping men and breaking men’s bones. When asked if she ever slapped anyone in real life, she laughed and said “I never slapped anyone in my real life.”
Directed by Soumik Sen, Gulaab Gang releases on March 7th.
