1. Shahrukh Khan’s first salary was Rs 50 which he earned by working as an usher at Pankaj Udhas’s concert in Delhi.

2. SRK had tried his hand at a small restaurant business in Dariya Ganj but couldn’t succeed.

3. Shah Rukh sold tickets at the booking window of a Mumbai cinema on the opening day of 1994 movie Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, directed by Kundan Shah. SRK was paid a sum total of Rs 25,000 for the film.

4. During his struggling days, Shahrukh had no place to stay in Mumbai so he lived with Vivek Vaswani, who later helped him to meet industry people and helped him to get into Yash Chopra’s camp.

5. Shahrukh come from a place where there was less to eat. He used to survive on just watery dal and sleep on roads. That’s how poor his family was.

6. King Khan is a big fan of the color black, especially when it comes to style and fashion.. “It’s easier since no one can tell if I am repeating a garment.”

7. Shahrukh Khan likes his feet to be covered all the time. Immediately after bath, he wears his shoes and socks and doesn’t take them off till he goes back to bed.

8. He is very particular about his night clothes too. He makes sure that his pyjamas are freshly ironed every night because as he says you never know who you might meet in your dreams.

9. The actor has a great fetish for numerology. All of his cars have the registered number 555 as he is very superstitious about it. Even his email ids contain the number 555. His personal mobile numbers have the combination of 555 and 40. His wife Gauri and all the senior officials working for him have either or both of these numerals as a part of their numbers!

10. SRK was watching Yash Chopra’s Lamhe in a theatre with Viveck Vaswani when halfway through his secretary arrived to inform him that Mr Chopra was considering casting him in a movie. SRK abandoned Lamhe immediately and went to Mr Chopra’s office. He did end up being cast in the movie, which was Darr.
