Actress-producer Pooja Bhatt is pissed with Akshay Kumar’s Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty as she made a film in 2006 which was titled Holiday. She also said that she had refused to share the title with producer Vipul Shah, when the latter approached her.
“Vipul Shah approached me for ‘Holiday’ and I refused. He approached (the) Guild (Film and Television Producers Guild Of India) – Rejected. Next stop? IMPPA (Indian Motion Pictures’ Producers Association) where he registered ‘Holiday’ with a tag line,” was Pooja’s tweet on Wednesday.
Earlier, she wanted to remake her father’s film Arth; with the title Thank You. But Thank You was the name of Akshay Kumar’s 2011 film by Anees Bazmee.
“First ‘Thank You’ and then ‘Holiday’! Akshay Kumar’s producers have an affinity for the titles of my films. Gentle Reminder – ‘Karma can be a bitch’,” she posted.
