Amitabh Bachchan’s Bhoothnath Returns will now be getting a solo arrival at the theaters after Satish Kaushik’s Gang of Ghosts decided to arrive a week in advance. However, with this advancement, ghosts are again set to clash with each other in theatres, as Gang of Ghosts will now face a tough face-off with Sunny Leone’s Ragini MMS 2!
“Yes, Ratan Jain and Satish Kaushik’s Gang of Ghosts would now arrive on March 21. This is the same day that Ekta Kapoor had fixed for her sequel of Ragini MMS. There are indeed a lot of ghosts in the air,” quips our source.
Incidentally, despite ghosts in there, genre of both films is quite distinct.
“Balaji’s Ragini MMS 2 is being marketed as a ‘horrex’ affair, and has ample elements of horror and erotica in there. On the other hand, Gang of Ghosts is one of those rare family comedies which have ghosts as the central protagonists. It is a remake of Bengali film Bhooter Bhabishyat (2012) which was a big hit. The markets are entirely different for Ragini MMS 2 and Gang of Ghosts as former is aiming for adult audience whereas latter would be targeting families,” the source adds.
When contacted, Ratan Jain and Satish Kaushik confirmed that Gang of Ghosts has been advanced to March 21.
