After making Shahrukh Khan rap in the song Lungi Dance from Chennai Express, Yo Yo Honey Singh is all set to make Amitabh Bachchan rap in a song from the upcoming film Bhootnath Returns.
Reportedly, over 100 dancers, including children, will shake a leg with the senior Bachchan in the song, Party with Bhootnath, as per a source close to the production.
The source said “Honey Singh recently met up with Amitji. He was so overwhelmed that he couldn’t stop clicking pictures. It’s a terrific opportunity for him.”
When contacted, the producer of the film Bhushan Kumar said “Like Amitji’s Maula mujhe chodna kabhi nahi with Adnan Sami, we’re hoping to create a similar chemistry between Honey Singh and Big B. It’s a lavishly set song and will involve a lot of special effects. We’ve requested him to rap too. We’re hoping for one crazy number!”
Amitabh Bachchan himself blogged about the dance rehearsals that he’s been doing for the song. “Grooving and shaking with the young at the shoot for Bhootnath Returns, at times the choreographer and the production forget how old I am to be still doing this stuff … But to be honest I did enjoy myself, despite the buckets of perspiration after each approaching summer heat-filled shot,” Amitabh posted on his blog srbachchan.tumblr.com Sunday.
“And then, of course, the no regrets of not being able to gym, since, the workout during the song was enough to keep me going for a decade!” he added.
Meanwhile, the makers of his 2004 film Khakhee have announced a sequel to the film; wherin Bachchan Sr will be reprising his cop role. The film is scheduled to go on floors early next year.
