By now everyone’s begin to admit that Dhoom 3 is a failure and as we look for reasons for why it has failed, one reason is very much obvious, and that is the fact that everyone in the movie was sidelined when compared to Aamir Khan especially Katrina Kaif unlike in the previous parts where everyone had very prominent roles and that has made the movie one long bore.
When this same question was posed to Aamir Khan, here’s what he felt about it, “Ali’s role is a good one in terms of what he is meant to do in the film. Jai’s role is not at all weak in any way. His character controls the entire story. Talking strictly from the point of view of the screen time, I think Katrina Kaif’s character could have been a little longer” in a way admitting that Katrina’s role in Dhoom 3 was actually short.
And Katrina Kaif herself admitted to it, although in a modest way, “I take it as a compliment that people wanted to see more of me in the film. Next time when I do a film I will see to it that I do more stuff.”
Anyways, it is too late for them to be thinking about it now, so all they can do is next time they make the sequel to Dhoom, they make sure that everyone’s role has got equal prominence.
