Supreme Court rules in favor of Salman Khan

Salman and his family have been fighting a legal battle with the Forest Department of Maharashtra, over the disputed property of their Panvel farm house for a while now. The property is under litigation as the Forest Department filed a petition in the Bombay High Court saying that the Khan family were encroaching the property which originally belonged to the Forest Department.

A Supreme Court ruling dated January 30, 2014 directed the Maharashtra Government to remove the tag ‘private forest’ that had been attached the family’s 35 acre property.

Meanwhile, there were reports that Abhinav Kashyap (who directed Salman Khan’s hit film Dabangg) was upset with the Being Human Khan as he was not roped in to direct the sequel Dabangg 2.

However, Abhinav rubbished such talk and spoke about Salman Khan, saying “All the misunderstanding was created by the media. There was no war of words between Salman and me. We know how things work in the film industry and I didn’t want to keep doing the same franchise of the film because the previous one worked at the BO. As a director and a creative person, there are a lot of things on my mind that I want to work with. And that’s what I am doing now.”
