The new season of Koffee with Karan is spicier than ever before, with a new set of controversies and some delightful moments. Right from the first episode, filmmaker Karan Johar got his guests to spill quite a lot of beans, as promised by him to his viewers. So far, we’ve seen 9 episodes of on Koffee With Karan 4 and it does not end there. We can hardly wait for the rest of the hotties of showbiz to take the couch. Meanwhile, we bring to you 10 lame, controversial, funny, shocking and surprising scandals made by our celebs, which dropped our jaws to the floor.
His virginity statement was epic! He actually said he was a virgin and that he was saving himself for someone he was going to get married to. This was Salman’s first time on Karan’s couch and is sure to be quite memorable for a very long time now. The Dabangg dude surprised his viewers as he spilled more than just a few beans. He also revealed that his wedding to Sangeeta Bijlani was cancelled after the cards were distributed because he was caught cheating on her.
Kareena and Ranbir Kapoor
This was sure one of the most awaited episodes of this season. Surprisingly, even though Katrina Kaif wasn’t on the show, the fact that her name was brought up after every five minutes made her very much a part of the show too! Kareena Kapoor addressed Katrina Kaif as her sister-in-law… OMG!! She almost revealed that RK and KK were a couple and that marriage is on the cards very soon. Ranbir Kapoor very diplomatically got back at Sonam and Deepika saying he would love to cast the duo in the Bollywood remake of Hollywood film Mean Girls. He also admitted that he Katrina Kaif’s acting better than Priyanka and Deepika.
Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao
It’s definitely a season of firsts on KWK. Though this episode was controversy free, that did not deter our excitement, as watching the couple get all lovey-dovey is not a very common sight. Anyway, there were quite a few revelations made while on the couch. While Mr Perfectionist is in awe of her Dhoom:3 co-star so much so that he wouldn’t mind waking up next to Kat, Kiran is no less. She apparently fantasizes Ranbir Kapoor in her bedroom. This episode was pure entertainment, and full of rib-tickling anecdotes.
Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor
These guys are plain crazyyyy!!! There was a lot of man-love on display and a complete disregard for the Sec 377 amendment Arjun reveals his hatred for Deepika Padukone because she keeps Ranveer away from him.. Ranveer Singh is clearly dating Deepika Padukone, though he tagged their relationship as the eye-rolling go-to statement of stars everywhere: “We’re good friends”. Arjun Kapoor made fun of his fat days and that he was making up for lost time in the girl department.
Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt
The newbie actors, launched by Uncle Jo’s production house Dharma Productions, was kind of boring and dumb. Sid revealed he is not the nephew Of Manish Malhotra and in fact was no way related to him, he also gave us a glimpse of his ex girlfriend a South African model, who is HOT and that distance was the main reason for them parting ways, Varun revealed that he currently “likes” a certain someone a lot and there was no end to his blushing while saying this. Alia proved her ignorance yet again by not knowing who the President of India is. Interestingly, young Dhawan is ignorant too.
Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone
The last time Deepika Padukone appeared on KWK with Sonam Kapoor, the episode went on to become the highlight of the season. This time too, the episode was worth watching. However, it wasn’t as masala-ish as the last season.
Chopra admitted that she felt “hurt” when she lost the Best Actress trophy to Vidya Balan at last year’s Filmfare Awards because she felt her performance in Barfi! “was a lot more nuanced” than Balan’s in Kahaani, she also addmitted to have had an affair with Shahid Kapoor. Deepika says Ranveer is both a better actor – and on-screen kisser – than Ranbir. She also very politely taunted Bebo saying, Kareena Kapoor could “start a charity” as an alternative career, an obscure reference to the fact that Kapoor was originally offered Padukone’s role in Ram-Leela.
Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan
When two super talented actors come together, the viewers are bound to have one hell of a time. And this is exactly what happened on the show. Though there wasn’t much feed to the gossip mongers in this episode, there was something very interesting about this one. While, Vidya Balan laughed a lot, Farhan Akhtar confirmed that he gets a lot of female attention. Vidya also seemed completely over the haters hating on her clothing and weight issue. And both the actors think Katrina Kaif cannot act.
Yet another debut on the couch… A self made actor Akshay Kumar. On his reputation as a Casanova, Kumar said his wild days ended after marriage because “when you have children waiting back home, you just want to run home.” Kumar pointed out that the Chopras and Johars of the industry never gave him a break. And Sajid Khan is one Bollywood person he thought needed a stylist, therapist and gym membership.
Mahesh Bhatt and Emraan Hashmi
This was my favorite episode. While Bhatt showed he had no love lost for the film industry and was very frank and blunt throughout, Emraan Hashmi was no people pleaser. The brutally candid duo took on Aishwarya Rai, Aamir Khan, Imran Khan and even filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. While Mahesh Bhatt called Sanjay Leela Bhansali an “overrated” filmmaker, his nephew Emraan went ahead and called Aishwarya Rai “plastic.” He labelled Aamir Khan “boring” and used the word “overrated” for Imran Khan. According to Emraan his worst kiss was with Mallika Sherawat. What I loved thoroughly was, there wasn’t even the slightest bit of hesitation while answering the questions.
